can we get some youtube videos of this stuff in action?

All of the lights are extremely accurate to real life. I have no in-game videos, but here is the ligth pattern the LAPD has in game with LEDesigns:

FRONT LAPD:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_wLIQQ_QVw

REAR LAPD:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onVqaylrEeQ&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

LAFD:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVQz1mK0DXc

As you can see, it is very realistic. I compared LEDesign's lights with the lights shown in the video, and it is amazingly accurate. You won't be disappointed.

^^ Is correct. The last video, the fire truck, the lights will be a bit faster on the side, like the front lights of the engine in the video, but all over. Thanks for posting the videos.

I will try capture some in-game videos for everyone to see, but tomorrow.

And for the battalion chief, i didn't work on that yet, so the model that you may have used is either corrupt or a different model...Make sure you install it in LAfiredepartment under prototypes.

Hmm the posts about takedowns motivated me to give them another try in game. Added takedowns to an LED vic as blinkers, looks nice and all only problem is anytime the vehicle activates its blinkers the takedown comes on until it completes its turn and shuts off the blinker. And I didn't try this but obviously if you reverse it and put the takedowns as special lights and your secondary lighting as blinkers you will still have lighting coming on whenever the unit turns.

Special Lights- Activate the vehicle's arrow stick command. Turn off the main lights, and you'll see secondary lights activated.

The USAR, Ladder is finished. I am doing minor updates on existing police cars by adding spot lights on them, and only to be activated with a special command, but the problem is that, when i activate the command ( Spotlight command) it activates as special lights, so that means that the traffic lights gets activated too...

I'm trying to find a stand alone command.

Good luck. Problem is the TA and the Floodlights are both special lights as you know, and thats part of what these scripts are doing is simply turning on or off special lights. I imagine if you script it out to activate certain lights based on the number of the actual light, MAYBE it would be possible but this would be VERY time consuming and really not worth it imo. As nice as the idea is, doing this isnt worth such a time and even then a script like that would have so many conditions in it, it could be very resource consuming on the PC running the game.

You said in your first post to stop people demanding all the time and then you go and contradict yourself and 'polietly demand' for some new stuff!

Besides as far as i am aware of, you cant double post.

the lights on the aerial are out of whack. the two lights that are on the platform are really far forward and not on the truck at all. otherwise good lights

Yeah, love the additional realism. Other than the light flaw on the ladder truck, the mods are really good. I'm working on some new sirens. Great work CFD, cant wait for the rest of your mods.

Those files are just duplicates of files that you already have. Check your 'Vehicles' folder that is located inside the 'Prototypes' folder. All you're doing is replacing the same files with these new ones.

The lights are great, except for the ladder problem. For some reason, when I install the submod, the bucket gets moved back from its orginal position, but the lights don't. Anyway, great lights but can somebody give me EXACT directions on how to activate the special lights? :s

Does anyone have one of the earlier PRL Impala prototypes? Back before they made the Impala an umarked, they put a push bar with lights on the front. I think it was from one of the V.1.8.

Thanks

Hey CFD, I don't know if you've started any work on EMS, but I found this good video of a parked ambulance. It's a corner view so you get a good view of side and front lights, I haven't been able to find a video of the rear lights, so I'll keep looking for one.

 Seriously, read...CFD was trying to make a, more or less modding group, which I was trying to help get going but thats hard to do when there is no communication between members who claim they dont have time when it is apparent they do.

Anyways, Mikesphotos Guide to LAFD topic has some good light videos, and mikes youtube account as well.
