I really like the pump and door lights on the engines, but what do you mean by the special lights command? Do you mean by turning on all the lights in the editor or what? :gruebel:

Special Lights- Activate the vehicle's arrow stick command. Turn off the main lights, and you'll see secondary lights activated.

The USAR, Ladder is finished. I am doing minor updates on existing police cars by adding spot lights on them, and only to be activated with a special command, but the problem is that, when i activate the command ( Spotlight command) it activates as special lights, so that means that the traffic lights gets activated too...

I'm trying to find a stand alone command.

I've tried that in the past. I tried adding takedown lights and spotlights to one of my LAPD cars along with the arrowstick bar, and it just didn't work out. Obviously, I'm not as great or experienced in this stuff as others are, but I was unable to find an alternate standalone command.

Perhaps you could add it as some other light command, like turn signal flashers? So that when you activate the Warning lights command (4-way turn signal lights activation), that's when the spotlights or takedowns will come on.

Why not set the spot lights to be like the light tower on the USAR?

The light towers are also in the "Special Lights" Category. Also, if you look on any other vehicle with a light tower or scene lights (Ambulance, USAR, Tiller), you will notice that they don't have a directional lights command, and vice-versa for vehicles with directional lights, they don't have floodlights.

Hope you can figure that out CFD. Sounds very promising and exciting. By the way, is it easy to modify the road flares? I thought the default ones are not all that "flare realistic".

I just use the flood light command so I can turn that on and get my take down lighting/spotlights along with rear only secondary lighting, and it doesn't redirect traffic that way. Why do you need a command dedicated only to spotlights? more realistic to have takedowns on and some sort of rear only warning pattern and no front facing lights activated besides your takedowns.

could it be set up where the directional lights come on with the light bar then make the spot lights there own command because if u look at any video almost all the police cars have there red and blues going while they have a directional light pattern is going it would be more realistic and maybe a simple solution i mean heck y not give it a try right :-)

Its up to you guys, two options:

- use the turn signal commands and add the spotlight to that

OR

- add it as special lights, and deal with the rear lights activated?

You decide.

And for the road flares, I've attempted fix it, but i can't really do anything with it except add radiation which i did. Sorry! I tried

I never got around to asking, but for the LA mod, are you doing all the rotators or just LED package?

I think it should be added as turn signal commands. The turns signals don't have much of a purpose, nothing really happens by activating them, and they are probably used very little.

Thanks for the new models CFD...Love the colors,my favorite is the slicktop!!! can't wait for more updates, keep up the good work!!also on the spotlights I would prefer the flashers as they're hardly used in the game..

No problem CFD, I figured if it could be done, then seeing that you have an eye for realism, then it would be done. So thanks for the effort. I have never seen what things look like with the editor. I thought it was as simple as changing the burning flare and making it look like one of the red lights on the lightbar of a police or fire unit. I guess not. I've only revised the "supervisor or dispatcher" video which was easy in that all I needed to do was create my own video and replace the ones already in the folder. So that was apparently much easier than meddling with the light editor.

Gosh, I had several videos of the LAPD patrol cars but I deleted them. I'll try to put some up again.
