The USAR, Ladder is finished. I am doing minor updates on existing police cars by adding spot lights on them, and only to be activated with a special command, but the problem is that, when i activate the command ( Spotlight command) it activates as special lights, so that means that the traffic lights gets activated too...
I'm trying to find a stand alone command.

Perhaps you could add it as some other light command, like turn signal flashers? So that when you activate the Warning lights command (4-way turn signal lights activation), that's when the spotlights or takedowns will come on.

Special Lights- Activate the vehicle's arrow stick command. Turn off the main lights, and you'll see secondary lights activated.

Hope you can figure that out CFD. Sounds very promising and exciting. By the way, is it easy to modify the road flares? I thought the default ones are not all that "flare realistic".

Can anyone direct me to a lighting tutorial?
I'd like to learn more about lighting!
Thanks, Ryan
I think this is the one:

- use the turn signal commands and add the spotlight to that
OR
- add it as special lights, and deal with the rear lights activated?
You decide.
And for the road flares, I've attempted fix it, but i can't really do anything with it except add radiation which i did. Sorry! I tried

Its up to you guys, two options:
- use the turn signal commands and add the spotlight to that
OR
- add it as special lights, and deal with the rear lights activated?
You decide.

I think it should be added as turn signal commands. The turns signals don't have much of a purpose, nothing really happens by activating them, and they are probably used very little.

No problem CFD, I figured if it could be done, then seeing that you have an eye for realism, then it would be done. So thanks for the effort. I have never seen what things look like with the editor. I thought it was as simple as changing the burning flare and making it look like one of the red lights on the lightbar of a police or fire unit. I guess not. I've only revised the "supervisor or dispatcher" video which was easy in that all I needed to do was create my own video and replace the ones already in the folder. So that was apparently much easier than meddling with the light editor.

can we get some youtube videos of this stuff in action?
Gosh, I had several videos of the LAPD patrol cars but I deleted them. I'll try to put some up again.
