how many units do you need?............LOLWell see I have about 20 Patrol cars on patrol/stand-by/and at the station (I have stratigic points to put them at)
12-27 ambulances of all types on stand by and at station
3 EMS supervisors patrolin (One to each patrol path)
and mayby 10 Engines ALS and BLS all around plus 1 USAR and 4 ladder trucks (One for each side of the map)
Plus units dotted around that can't stand by but have ligths off.
5 tech cars for the center and corners
1 usfs truck for the forest path. 1 HAZMAT for the ports.
4 fire boats two on the edges and two near the inlet.
and I have all motor boats staffed with a diver ready to go.
Phew, so I can spare the reasourses.

I do, I have a game that's gone on for 25 hours with no clean up (Disabled it)

I generally just staff my station, send out 4 patrol cars and 2 ambulances for patrol, and wait till shit hits the fan.
...which it generally does...
Otherwards, I like to keep things to a nice heavy level of realism.

Incedent #1, and Hazmat Squad, ALS Fire Engine, Battalion Chief, 2 LAPD patrol cars, EMS SupervisorI was just wondering what units you all send to:
1. Exploded Gas Pipe
2. MVA
3. Unknown type fire
4. Active Shooter
Incedent #2, USAR Squad, BLS Fire Engine, any nessesary Ambulances, 1 LAPD patrol car
Incedent #3 1 ALS Engine, 1 LAPD patrol car, LAPD slick-top(my world the slick-top is a sergent's car)
Incedent #4 3 LAPD patrol cars, LAPD slick-top, if in free play LAPD SWAT First responders(LAPD SUV with 2 SWAT guys, a scout, and a phycologist), and an LAPD chopper. If shots are fired 5 more cruisers show up. If an officer gets hit or goes down 20 cruisers and an ALS ambulance.
I try to keep things realistic!
