Why does everyone send so much:P
Its like you guys want to rush and play 5 events in 1 minute.

Gas Pipe: 1 ALS engine, 2 BLS engines
MVA: USAR + Crane if it is in water (some vehicle recovery)
Unknown Fire: If it is a little one (like 1 bench on fire) i send a police unit (1 unit keeps civil guys away, 1 unit uses fire extinguisher)
Shooter: 1 Police Unit.. mostly i just arrest.

What units do I send:
A lot...
actually my response is somewhere else and it was long.
I thought what I'd do was pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

In my department, when we get a fire, we send on the initial dispatch:

3 Engines
2 Squads (aka Ambulances)
Truck 21 (small support truck, crew of 4)
Service Truck 8 (Air-light-rehab truck)
Ladder 24 (09 Pierce 105' crew of 4)
2 Battalion chiefs
FTC car (aka Training 6 or Safety officer)
MedCon (EMS supervisor)

That happened to me ONCE, but only because a gas explosion with several hurt happened right after the ambulance arrived.

I try to keep the responses realistic, and keep it close to how my department would respond.

1. Exploded Gas Pipe - 2 ALS engines, 1 BLS Engine, BC(battalion chief) and a truck company (ladder) if it's big or large structure is invovlied. have a PD car respond for traffic control

2. MVA - 1 ALS engine, 1 truck company, 2 police cars, BC (if large), 1 ALS ambulance, and 2-3 BLS ambulances if needed.

3. Unknown type fire - 2 ALS engines, 1 Battalion Chief, 1 police car, further units if needed when arrived on scene

4. Active Shooter - (for the game, since i'm not a cop). 1 PD car and the chopper

Normally I don't do things as realistically because those things take time, and when you're playing fast paced with assignments coming in I can't be bothered to take out extra things that you don't need, such as PD for traffic control when FD can do it or using the ladder truck because it's more of a hassle than a help. Most fires I just use the fire-plane.

1. Gas Pipe -
2 BLS Engines with 6 firefighters each (depends if there are enough water taps to attach hoses  ), if there is traffic, I send the nearest patrol car for assistance (all of my police cars are patrolling the city), and an ALS Ambulance is standing by in case of any injures.

2. Multi-Vehicle Accident -
Depending on the type of the crash, 2-3 ALS Ambulances, 1 USAR Squad, the nearest patrol vehicle, if there is a vehicle in water - a crane, and in the end, 1-3 flat back trucks.

3. Unknown fire type -
2 BLS Engines with 4 firefighters each, nearest patrol vehicle for assistance, and 1 ALS Ambulance stadning by, further firefighting forces may be implemented depending on fire size.

4.Active shooter -
Dispatch: "All units, shots fired, nearest patrol is assigned to investigate and arrest shooter, code 2" (i've always wanted to say that :D) or in other words, nearest patrol and an ALS Ambulance.

I have the FBI suv in free play. why you don't?

Probably, because he is not put any submods in Emergency 4 Los Angeles Mod
They automatically unlock / open some vehicles which are not accessible on FreePlay

okay... now say during this fire, you get a call for a MVA 3 cars, 4 injured and one is under water... Then you get a medical call too... Got most of your resources pretty exhausted

Well see I have about 20 Patrol cars on patrol/stand-by/and at the station (I have stratigic points to put them at)
12-27 ambulances of all types on stand by and at station
3 EMS supervisors patrolin (One to each patrol path)
and mayby 10 Engines ALS and BLS all around plus 1 USAR and 4 ladder trucks (One for each side of the map)

Plus units dotted around that can't stand by but have ligths off.
5 tech cars for the center and corners
1 usfs truck for the forest path. 1 HAZMAT for the ports.
4 fire boats two on the edges and two near the inlet.
and I have all motor boats staffed with a diver ready to go.
Phew, so I can spare the reasourses.
I thought what I'd do was pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
