Right now, I don't have much time to respond to all the bugs because of personal issues, but I've checked the possible HAZMAT bug reported by AFEM and there is a small mistake in the script. When you press the 'Go to fire station' command while there is a civilian inside, the game thinks it's an ambulance which should go to the hospital. Although I've never seen the problem with civilians not coming out of the truck after decontamination.

That shouldn't happen. Is the command greyed out or does nothing happen when you press it?

That should work in (Deluxe) freeplay, but I will check it out. I am almost certain it should work though.

There are a few known problems with the wye after trying to pick it up. A floating hose with nozzle remains and you can't do anything with it. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to fix it. This problem shouldn't occur everytime you try to pick it up, it happens maybe 1 out of 15 times. It also seems to happen randomly.

For the VIP Escort mission, nothing happens when I press it. As for the Deluxe bug, it's not in freeplay, it's in the Deluxe mission where an earthquake occurs. I believe it works just fine in freeplay and other missions.

I don't think that this is in the rght place, since its not really a bug, but when I try to download 1.8, it won't download, even when Ive been waiting for 3 hours. I try server 2, and it comes quikly, but then it claims the file is corrupt. Should I continue downloading in the Main Server or what?

Hey guys, I am not having any luck with this gated wye. I am not sure if it is what I am doing or if it could be a bug. I'll give you the steps I take when using the gated wye. When I respond to fire that has spread quickly and farther from the roadway, I put up the gated wye to go farther. Anyways, I put out the wye and attached fire hoses to it until fire was out then I detached hoses and picked up the gated wye but for some reason, the gated wye was picked up but I couldn't reel in the hose because it went straight on the ground and it can't get picked up when its on the ground. So, now I can't move my fire truck from the scene due to the fire hose being attached. How can I fix this and Is there a certain distance I can only go on the wye?


Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

to fix this in game when this happens left click on the fire truck and then right click then it will deinstall all hoses on that truck

The server with our downloads is located in Germany. Alaska is like on the other side of the world, so it's possible that you can't download really fast when you live on the American continent. I just checked it, and I can still download it at full speed (main server) here. If you're getting corrupt files, clean your temperary internet files (and cookies).

I can't seem to replicate your first problem. The Empty Car command works as it should be in the VIP Escort mission. Did that problem occur after a certain event in that mission? Where you able to replicate it?

As for the bulldozer problem, I just tested it and you're right. I am pretty certain it has to do with the transaid menu you get in the beginning. The bulldozer does work in freeplay and the other missions (without the transaid plane).

I've released a second patch. :)

It should fix the following bugs:
- Problems with deploying bulldozer in missions with the transaid plane.
- Command 'Sirens' is missing icon for the cursor.
- USAR and HAZMAT Squad can be sent into fire station with light mast raised.
- HAZMAT Squad gives error messages when it's sent to fire station with civilians inside.
- FBI Mobile Command Vehicle doesn't heal people who've entered the vehicle anymore.

Download the following package: LA Mod v1.8 patch 2
Size: 29,8 k

How to install:
1. Extract the .zip package.
2. Move the folder 'Los Angeles Mod v1.8' to your Emergency 4/Mods folder.
3. Make sure to overwrite the older files.

What does it fix?:
See above.

Notes:
- Patch 1 included in this patch.
- Reinstall the mission patch after this hotfix patch if you want to play the original missions.
- When playing online, make sure to install the patch if the host has it installed too.
- It's advised to install this patch on a clean version of the mod. (excluding the missionpatch and older patches for the mod)

I can't get my first problem either anymore. I've gotten it twice before but now it works fine. Thanks for helping.

Yeah, I've noticed little things like that happens sometimes, but when you have this many changes, little errors are going to happen every now and then. I think overall though, it is pretty good as for bugs, seeing about how much stuff has been done!

And as for the Downloading, I live in newfoundland, which is the closest north american point to Europe, so I manage to get like a mb a second when downloading here :) Pretty lucky i think :D

im in ontario and mine works fine when downloading. i think it all has to do with the quality of internet that you have

If you get officers on the LAPD roof, and order them to get an extinguisher, they will go to the edge of the roof and appear down the wall. There is no way to get them back on too.

Another thing, not a bug, but mostly stupid... the LAPD helicopter has spike strips LOL.

You can fix that yourself if you don't like it there. just go to mods/LA mod/units/police and its in there under lapdhelicopter...just open the units xml file in there and take the spike strips off the list there.

Even the manual says the helicopter has the spikestrip as equipment.
I wonder what your definition of 'bug' is. Software bugs are always unintentional faults, errors or flaws.

Officers falling from the roof of the PD station can be defined as a bug, because they're not supposed to do that.
But I didn't even add a code to prevent officers from doing that. Just don't click the command, because it's a very minor issue.
There are dozens of things like that in game/mod.

The LAFD heavy rescue carries the jump pad, even though it's not shown on the buy units menu.

The sirens on the LAFD Crane doesn't work when you click on the command, while the feet are out. It only toggles the siren button but doesn't start the sound.

The LAFD crane was made with sirens on it.
