What if NG dials 911 ? :1046275767_ugly:

Then Chuck Norris is called in...
Conversation between a FDNY Firefighter and unknown video photographer right after both towers fell and the firefighter is at his truck getting his gear:
Photographer: Did you already go in?
Firefighter: What?
Photographer: Did you go in?
Firefighter: I was there, yea.
Photographer: Are you going back?
Firefighter: Its my Job....
Firefighter then collects his gear and begins walking back toward the towers.....
Photographer: Good Luck.

Hehe, ok, let's stop with the "NG calls 911" now. ;)
It's amusing, but it's not what I wanna discuss in this thread.

So, let's continue along the lines of the original thread people!

Anyway as Fisk1 said back to topic.

I call one tech van, 2 lapd cars (one CV, one Charger) a lasd car, and a chp charger. And i try to play with limited resources and not call more ambulances and fire trucks. Really makes the game challenging and fun....

I did that once, had nothing except the default map units, plus a tech 3 cop cars, and tow trucks as needed... Worked well, then I had a gas explosion, big one, needed all FF resources from Station 1, then there was an earthquake... Totally threw me off there :P

now I fill both stations, send a EMS supervisor out, 2 motorcycle units, 1 motor boat at the island (deluxe) 2 Patrol cars, place a CHP unit on the highway, and put a supervisor SUV at the station. I won't call anything off map after that except for tech vans, tow trucks and the occassional US&R dog for missing persons..Everything else I handle with my on map teams...

Sometimes I will adjust the unit staffing manually, like for bird flu, I'll send an ambulance with 2 hazmat officers if it is by station 1..

I buy full a full firehouse, closes the gates on both houses, and puts roof on. Afterwards i buy one CHP Patrol car with one CHP Officer, and makes that cruiser patrol. Then i buy an EMS supervisor vehicle, and puts a Supervisor + a normal Paramdic in it (I bind that as Hotkey #1).

At a fire:
I send the Supervisor vehicle to the destination, afterwards i judge the situation and send nessesary units.
Let's say a fire in a villa neighboorhood:
EMS Supervisor calls:
1 Aerial Ladder
1 BLS Engine
2 ALS Engines
1 ALS Ambulance
The CHP Patrol Cruiser.
-And if nessesary a Foam Tender

Natural Gas Explotion:
EMS Supervisor is at distance from toxics and calls:
1 HAZMAT Squad
1 USAR Rescue
2 BLS Engines
2 ALS Engines
1 Aerial Ladder
3 ALS Ambulances
1 BLS Ambulance
The CHP Cruiser + additional LAPD Backup
2 LAX Airport Engines
2 Foam Tenders

Nice. I go by the actual LAFD dispatch policy for most of my calls. But due to the differences of the game and real life I have to make adjustments to it a little.

I fully staff House 1 with the engines and don't ever call for anymore that that.

I only buy one more ambulance and that is the LAX ambulance. I throw a FF/Paramedic in the BLS ambulance up north. I take all of my ambulances and patrol them. They never go back to HQ ..as soon as they clear the hospital, I put them back on the road so that they never go to HQ. If there's a number of medicals I send an ALS engine to standby along with a cop until the ambulance can get there.

For PD, I i usually buy 7-9 cars, depending how I feel. I take 4 of them and set them up in posts. Each car "stands by" in each corner of the map as if theyre doing radar or something. I send the LAPD SUV and keep him parked in front of the police department ..only bringing him out when needed. Other than that I maybe have 3-4 cars patrolling. I double up the Chargers . Every other car only has one guy. Makes it easier for some jobs such as traffic lights and rabies, etc. I used to have all my cars patrol but with the ambulances and such they would all jam up in one spot and follow the same path so I had to put them in posts. That works out better with arsonists, etc. bc theyre's always one guy in the area.

I send police cars to every medical and fire call, no matter what the nature but that's just a personal preference. Keeps me busy and looks better :police:

It's worked so far, I played last night for over 2 hours at work and didn't fail a mission.

I like going by the LAFD dispatch policy, but sometimes you've got to be creative.

small structure fire:
1 Batt Chief
2 BLS
1 Truck
1 ALS Ambulance
2-3 Police

Nat. Gas Explosion:
3 Batt chiefs
4 BLS engines
4 ALS engines
2 Trucks
2 USAR
1 EMS Supervisor
3 ALS/BLS ambulances
1 Heavy rescue squad
3+ police to clear traffic
Tow trucks to clear up the mess in case of destroyed vehicles

I have two Police cars on Patrol, one on standby that also patrols, and the SUV at the Station with two LAPD Officers. I have the Diver in the Bat. Chief Vehicle along with him, this way the Diver can get to the scene really fast.

It was funny though that I had a person pickpocketed at the Hospital, and after I got him the lady was still upset and screaming. It turns out that you can talk to the people at the hospital, and she calmed down after I had the Officer talk to her. She said "What a day!.... Well I better get going..".

Hi

For me:

On the begining of the game:

-I send 2 police cars patroling on the city;
-After i had my first call (it's a EMS call).
-When i finish my first call, i send 1 unmarked police car and 1 police car patrol.
-After ~15 minutes i have 5/6 police cars patroling on the city;

I never use:

-The sherif's car;
-The stand-by mod;

For explosion gas:

I send 3 firetrucks;
And the air tanker;

I put one truck on the north and one on the south and finally one on the ouest; And i deploy all fireman.

(I never send PD, i use the redirect light on the firetruck to free the way).

For Unknow fire, bad extinguish cigarets, small fire:

I send one firetruck;

For forest fire:

1 firetruck;
Air tanker;

For Petty theft, crime, and other police call:

I send the police car the nearest, Like i have a lots of cars that patrol it's easy;

When the night begin i send 1/2 police helicopter, i have added the patrol option on it, so i let him fly on the city.

For accident i send:

-1 police car, to redirect the traffic;
-The USAR truck;
-2 ALS;

I neither let my BLS only with the stretcher, i add everytime a FF/PM;

My police station is everytime empty, for car fire i send a PD unit it's faster !

I done all Pd call in less than 15 minutes (15 minutes on the game not on the real), because i have lot of police car that patroling.

P.S: I used the submod map !

Well, i think that i forget nothing. :happy:

Sorry if i don't speak verry well, i am french !

I like to run my City fire side like Philly.

In the main station the only thing I change is I send the tower to the sub-station and place the tiller in the main station. Engines are hot keyed as 1 and 3. The tiller is 2

In the sub-station the engine is keyed as 4 and the tower (which is parked in the back parkinglot) is keyed as 5
I add a medic to the ambulance in the sub-station.

hot key 6 is reserved for the LASD van. This is kept at the police station and is sent around to pick the prisoners to be taken back to the station.

I stage 5 or six police cars around the city and have one sergant suv patrol around. At the station I keep two unmakerd cars with 2 swat officers each.

For EMS I have the EMS captain patroling the city.

For any local box like a car fire, brush fire, trash ect I send the closest engine. For a house fire I send the closest 1 and 1. A building gets 2 and 1. If the fire requires the additional ladder to make it 2 and 2, I send the BC, the EMS captian and, if the units are available, an ALS ambulance. If the third emgine is called in then I will usually place an engine and ladder cover in the main station.

It doesn't take alot of trucks to run a big fire. Its all about placement.

I do it really really weird...

I load up station, staff my Ladder with 2 normal ff 2 SCBA FFs, 1 PM and a USAR FF
I have an emergency response center for earthquakes
a Dispatcher...
a BC at each station

Like 25 LAPD Units patroling
10 CHP
a LASD Transport Van, with LASD Escort
and also a repair center....

want more info on this stuff?
Or want to know how I do my calls? ask, and I shall explain!

Select the unit after you have called it onto the map. There are 6 number keys on the bar at the bottom of the screen and a square button next to them. Select the unit,press the square button and then press the number.
