I use the big LAX truck and the ambulance occasionally but I don't use the Airport Police or Port Police really ever..

i voted no (though i dont necessarily love yellow vehicles more).

in freeplay i always have a crash tender stationed at industrial sites and have the LAX Ambo and LAPP car stationed at the ports. sometimes i also station the LAAP cars at certain places as "security vehicles". for me, they get their biggest use in missions

Remove the LAX Units. Maybe even the port police. I wouldn't mind seeing more love for the LASD :P

I think the Port Police should stay.....they can be used by the port at the bottom of the map.

What does LAX means? in swedish it's salmonxD

It is the airport code for Los Angeles Int. Airport

Further to stay on-topic... does sit really takes so much time to just load the LAX units that it will make a difference. I mean they are just as useless as the highway patrol, army, fbi and port police if you ask me.

I personally love them, but then again, the Airport CFR missions are my favorite and the ones I replay most often. By having different vehicles it makes grouping them a lot easier, ARFFs to attack one thing, and standard engines handling something else

I use the LAX ambulances in multiplayer because the colour makes them easy to distinguish from the other players' ambulances (not that it is really needed with 2 players and the other one always use vintage ambulances)

But I am in favour of putting the LAX vehicles in a separate submod to make the mod less "heavy" :)

Keep them in the mod. I'm sure the the mod wont be THAT much smaller or quicker to load with three vehicles less. Besides, the airport missions would be no fun to play.

Before I would've said, take them out, in a light version, but now we have an airport mission, thus without LAX it would kinda suck :P

I could substitute a bunch of foam pumpers and engines and a few ladders for a few of the huge LAX firetruck

Having LAX units in the mod seems all the more reason to have a mini LAX on the new map, but thats another debate for another thread. :P

To the person above, yes its Los Angeles International Airport. I believe the X is for International, kind of like you see signs that say Ped X-ing.

The X doesn't actually mean anything..... It was just LAA and LAI had already been used by other airports

I usually use them on missions, or sometimes on freeplay, only because they look soo cool!

I don't really think they should be removed.. Can't you create a option in the installer to choose if you want it or not..

They will probably be kept in the mod. Option in the installer isn't a good idea because of multiplayer. It increases the chance of getting the 'different files' error when you try to connect to a server.

I wonder why you people want it removed, if you don't like it, don't use it!

Like billyfromhill said, three vehicles removed won't make any difference.

Wow. So nice and clean looking, no rust.. Probably starts and runs good, too. Nothing compared to what I drive. haha

Personally, I understand if you want to remove them, but I use them. Not only on the LAX and CFR stuff, but also in freeplay for big fires.. Forest fires, explosions, etc. So as long as there's a submod for them, I'm good.
