The "mission" he wrote is the news story of the crash... but the death toll is up to 24 now. I watched it all unfold on TV yesterday and today. Worst train accident in 15 years here in the U.S.

On a side note, an LAPD officer was on the train and was killed. I was watching on tv when they pulled her body out and the rows after rows of officers and sheriffs who were saluting as her flag draped body was taken to an ambulance.

-d

That was a large train crash.I saw it on CNN yesterday.
Train crashes are the worst crash.

What about plane crashes. We had one near where I lived and about 150M from where my mate lives. It crashed into a house but fortunately no one was home. It missed a school and a local hospital. It was a while ago now but i made a topic about it: http://forum.emergen...?showtopic=3572

Something that I think I would like to see for the next version(not 1.7 as that is almost finished) is a full building fire. Whether it be free play or a mission, but like a building fire, that instead of 1 small fire, like a very large engulfed building... And if it was a mission, then maybe like an enterable building, with injured people, etc.

It would be realistic, because, there are a lot of building fires like that, and it would be fun... Hoppah if you are interested. I can explain the whole thing fully. Also I can perhaps model a building, or whatever needed. But that would be one thing I would really like to see in game, because I find the fires in game now are not to realistic, and it is no fault of your own, but more of a base game thing that is responsible

I was thinking you could add a "Debris" or "Fluids" item that firefighters would have to clean up at the scene of MVAs. You'd have to edit each freeplay event, and then have some sort of "Clean-Up" button on firefighters. The new command would work somewhat like a combination of the jaws command and the tow truck pick up command - in where the firefighters would take some time to execute the command and after they are done, the debris or fluid would be cleaned up and the event would be able to be completed.

Good thing it was only a Cessna. Imagine if it was a passenger jet.

sort of like in Em1 when you had the car accidents where a pool of gas would lay there, and be ignitable?

Yeah, I really had to go back in my memory to remember that. You could even make it like that and force Hazmat to come out and clean up certain accidents. Just something to spice up the accidents.

I may have to make a trip to the basement to find my EM1 CDs.

My new suggestion is for every policeman to have radio (phone) and when he is out of car to call backup or other services.

my idea (but i dont know it is posible)

i say it in dutch because i dont know how to sai in english

:)

that already is a freeplay event, it just seems to never happen.

Add Nightsticks to police officers...

So the game can be more realistic, because most of the police officers around the world has got it...

Not sure if I read this on a nightstick.... or on another thing(could be tazers) I do not believe that is possible to be done in the game, and if it is, it will be purely cosmetic, and I doubt it will do anything... However if it is done, it will be a real pain, becasue to use it you will like almost kill the person, then you have to like drop it to arrest them. I think though you can script around that(?)

Rapid air transport (RAT) bag which slips over an SCBA bottle and holds an extra mask to tap into the bottle to provide a downed firefighter with air. This so-called RIT Bag was invented by Darrin Shaw, a firefighter with Central Pierce Fire and Rescue. The term 'RIT Bag' is now widely used, but the trademark stays with RIT BAG

Can be used on civilians trapped inside working fire structures.

For those asking for a pull over script, as nice as that sounds, the funny thing is that the game is actually and unfortunately, more realistic then you might have guessed. As you can see from this pic (taken while rolling Code 3 through West Hollywood to Cedars Sinai in LACoFD Squad 8), people rarely move for emergency vehicles out here.

GOD that picture brings back memories. That's how I started in EMS...AMR in LACo. Yeah I had to oppose once to get by a semi, then the semi turned left in front of me. Everyone in the back was hanging on for dear f***ing life and I had to basically throw the steering wheel left and we, with the semi, went into a construction yard. We didn't collide, but the follow guy in Squad 30 stayed behind to tear the semi driver a new asshole.

I also remember running code around 164s area was a bit scary too. No one has a (united states) driver's license there. It's literally more likely they will pull to the left or just stop in front of you before they pull to the right. I swear someone once was actually pulling left so that I would hit them. I think they wanted to sue. It was beyond being by accident. That s*** was on purpose.

Thank God where i work now is a bit more sane.

By the way, when I worked there, the station 8 guys were a bunch of man-sluts. Anything change? :)
