Found this photo of a TACR-1 rapid intervention vehicle for the RAF from the 1970s, i spotted it at Duxford military vehicle show last yea parked next to a green goddess, i wonder if it will be there this year

Leipzig Police. 

First car is marked.  Second.  I believe is unmarked.  Notice the plates are DD Q.  Every Police car I saw in the area had DD Q follow by numbers on plate.

Just a different style, I'm sure our trucks look goofy to them.

Other then the front and slightly longer truck it a typical German TLK.  It longer cause it in city of Leipzig.  The streets are a lot narrow in Germany US ladder trucks would never be able to get anywhere in city over there.  
 
They can still reach high.  Not sure how high that one reaches but 7 years ago the town where my parent company is based got a new TLK and I got some pictures include fully extended.

Also unlike US respond where we sent out trucks as three ready. Germany use a system call trains. So for a structure fire they have group of truck that respond as one. SO the DLK would not respond on it one.

Most of the times I heard a siren in Germany. It general not just one unless it was ambulance or police.

Yesterday was the2014 Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company Parade - It rain but I still got photos.

Oh and Saxonburg Police department got a Brand new 2014 Ford Police Interceptor Utility with valor light bar that went into service with the last month.

Two calls near my home, the first was yesterday and the second one was today. (the truck is from 1985, I think)

It's one of two I know are used in Maryland. The second one belongs to Federalsburg VFD and is white with a pink stripe... I just never have a camera around when it drives by.

Tommorow I'm going to a Portuguese Air Force base near my home, so... I'll probably return with some pictures of the fire department and maybe some demos of the vehicles or training exercises.

Last night In Cranberry Township, PA a storm took out 10 power poles. Causing Route 288 between cranberry woods and Route 19 to be closed.  Including on and off ramps for I-79.  These pictures are from Route 19 and 228 Side taken today while the road was still closed.  There saying it be closed till tomorrow.
