I have 2 avenues I can go down with the missions:
1-All realistic actually happened events
2-Real events then slowly leading into fictional disastrous missions

what do we think?


How about option 2 but with a twist, if you respond well to the event it follows track 1, closer to the actual outcome, but the more time you take to respond to the incident, the more towards disastrous it goes.

Ex. If you were to put a plane crash in the river as a mission, if you are able to respond quickly and get everyone off the plane and out of the water, you have no casualities, you just have to rescue them, but the longer it takes the more casualities and fatalities you have, and if you dont rescue all victims before a certain time the plane would sink, causing more casualities and rescues from the plane.

Could this unit be added to the submod? ASPCA officers in NYC have full police powers. Would be cool to utilize for those rabies calls.

Err. That's still kinda pointless, I mean those calls are sorta rare anyway. Besides you end up killing it anyway, and officer can do that :)

Or at least that's what I do ...

maybe the ASPCA vehicle/police can have more options just for animals? =p. instead of having to kill it you can muzzle it, or lure it.. who knows.
And as for the frequency of it happending. that can easily be edited.

not sure yet issues have come up could be a week could be months

I think option 1. I'm getting abit bored of missions that start with a car crash that hits a chemical containing lorry that crashes into a forzen lake causing a boat to catch on fire detonating a pipeline to an oil rig that then goes KABOOM! Which, is why I'm a bit dubiuous having ordered EM2012. I'd much rather see some riots, a couple of freeway crashes or high rise fires. Things that are complex but not over the top. That's my two pennies. Loving the work so far BTW.

I have other mission idea:
A criminal group kidnap a building and they want a to release a prisoner from the jail and a car so you have to go with a negotiator to the jail talk to the prison guards to get free the prisoner. Then you have to carry the prisioner escorted to the site of the kidnapping and release the prisoner. After the kidnapper take a car and shoot some agents and leave. You have to catch them in a great pursuit. Finally you have to evacuate the injuried agents and rescue the people who have been trapped in cars in accidents during the chase.

Another mission idea a freighter ship crashes with Liberty Island or Liberty Island ferry.

Personally, I think it should be realistic events that have happened before (subway crashses, fires, etc) and there should be a large event in the end, maybe a tsunami, earthquake, whatever, or maybe a single event that has many components to it. Think airplane crash, or something along those lines. Terror works good too sinceNY is such a hotspot for terrorists.

I would say reconstruct 9/11 for the final. but, 1) Thats too many components, 2) I think some people will find it "sick" and 3) well, I can see a lawsuit somehow comming from that...


You know what would be a really cool mission? You are on an airfield, and you're notified that a plane is comming in for a crash landing at the airport you're currently stationed at. You need to get emergency services on the field and staged ASAP. and everytime you play the mission, 1 of 3 things can happen, depending on how well everything plays out:

1) The plane will completely crash and obliderate and you have tons of people to rescue
2) the plane will land saftely and all you have to do is rescue people off the plane
3) the plane crashes, still in tact, has a couple of fires, you need to extinguish the fires before they reach the fuel tanks, etc

Yeah, way too hard to script, GOOD IDEA THOUGH RIGHT :)
