OK you can post what you think are the most Weird and Unusual units from anywhere in the world as long as they are an emergency unit.

Here is mine:

Some fire brigades use un-maned air vehicles (UAVs) or microdrones at major incidents. This low-cost alternative to a manned helicopter can allow firefighters an unparalleled overview of the fireground. The vehicles can be fitted with video, thermal or stills cameras. They are remote controlled and can automatically hover using an in-built GPS receiver.
This is an example of a UAV. It has four rotors which run on electric motors. The battery lasts between 15 and 40 minutes depending on the wind, and only takes a few seconds to swap for a fresh one. When flying at 100 feet, the aircraft is silent and almost invisible.

It is used by the West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service.

The US army have used these things for years by now.

It's strange as it is used by the fire service not for spying.

It is one of the cheapest ways they dont send in people so they are nt in danger and they do not need to send in any helo's much cheaper.

However it still looks like a weird thing:P

On second look I dont think either of the "tillers" here are really tillers. There just semis pretty much, namely the Hazmat tiller since Internationals are very commonly used to pull trailers.

A tiller usually refers to the tractor drawn aerial ladder that many departments still operate, here's an example of one from LA. Posted Image
many FDs from major cities operate these because they tend to have a longer reach than most of the tower units, as well as not having a bucket to interfere with the extrication of someone from a balcony or window.
Why is it that firefighters are able to run into a burning building while others run out? It is because each firefighter knows that if he can save one life, put out one more fire, then people can keep on living their normal lives and they have the courage to keep going back to work each day.

My old department in Texas used to have an Alvis Stalwart six-wheeled amphibious truck for river rescues. The problem was that it would only take a 9 knot cross current and the part of the river where we got her to use primarily has a 20-25 knot cross current during heavy flooding.
