HAHAHAHA!!!!! women eh? :P

Well she was like 16, in a Honda Accord trying to cross one of the busiest streets in town in the worst ice storm the city has ever seen. Keep in mind she had to cross 3 lanes of traffic, the third lane was a center turn lane, but it hadnt been plowed like the main lanes had. But none the less, she was an idiot and hammered the gas as I was about to make contact with her bumper. Gave her a nice jolt when she came sliding back in to my brush guard.

Kind of OT here, but looks like some places are STILL cleaning up from the ice storm last January I mentioned. More so waterways then anything else, to prevent flooding, but nearly a year later and we still have areas affected by it.

Well, last night around 17:30hrs Buffalo Fire had a strong Natural Gas Odour, and, as they arrived, Fort Erie got dispatched to a strong Natural Gas Odour on the border of Port Colborne. That was odd, with two calls at the same time, same thing, different countries :P

Also, jumping into the shower about an hour ago, I caught a call on my scanner that came in REALLY broken up; I think it was a downed airplane 2 towns over, not sure.... if I hear more, I'll update :)

Structure fire in a project housing apt building. 2 Engines, 5 quints, 1 BC, Rescue 1, and a quint about backed into a car because the quint tried to make u-turn on the boulevard, and couldnt quite make it.

And a MVA where a car flipped upside down into a ditch.

I think what he means is: it was the creosote that caught on fire. Just guessing though.

6 Engines? 1 truck. That's not many. Depends on the structure size though

I'm sure that's what was meant, it just made me laugh. What else are [i]fire[/]places for? lol

Hey, Fort Erie sends 2 pumps, 2 Rescues, and an aerial. Well, in the rural areas we add a Tanker.
but, if we pull a second line, we go to a second alarm, which is another Pump and Rescue :P

You would be surprised how often that we either get smoke from a chimney or a fireplace on fire.

Listen to this Friday morning for a neighboring company and the borough i go to school in.
At 5:30 Station 14 responding to a Commercial Building fire in an apartment complex. Chief 14 on location heavy fire showing from the second floor of a two story apartment building. The fire hit a second alarm. While at this fire at 8:15 they were dispatched for a working dryer fire. They had a neighboring go in and knock that one out. While at the original 2 alarm fire they were then dispatched at 8:15 for a working garage fire. Chief 14 on location garage well involved. here is a link for a video of it

No, I get that, we had one today. It was just funny the way it was worded; "Fireplace on fire"

No I understand you 100% I laugh every time I look at my pager and see fireplace on fire thats the one place fire is supposed to be in a house. My other favorite is the smoke from a chimney from a caller passing by the house.
