RedHawk is correct! and therefor the winner

The RLC does in fact cover the UK, as do the RN and RAF each with their own respective EOD teams (RLC can't be everywhere at once) but none of them cover Eire (Southern Ireland)

Just out of curiosity what is a "Advanced First Aider"? Or how would that translate into North American.

He's basically got a First Responder cert. I think it's also called Emergency Medical Responder in some parts of the U.S.

Going by this definiton: http://en.wikipedia....ic_Life_Support its slightly more than BLS as it involves use of O2, Analgesia and some basic ambulance equipment as well. It also covers a couple more medical conditions such a Anaphylaxis. That said it is nowhere near ALS and involves none of the invasive or drug use activities. :)

My training is Normal First Aid + More Diagnostics (Ie, Pulse Oximetry, Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, Chest & Lung Sounds, etc) and a few more treatment skills.

And in the UK First Responder Certification (Called Institute of Health Care Development First Person On Scene (IHCD FPOS)) Is above first aid and is used by Community Responders, Fire Service, Some Businesses who have very dangerous working conditions, offshore vessels & oil rigs, etc. Its split into 3 levels, Basic, Intermediate and Enhanced, Enhanced is more like the Ambo Technician Course.


Anyways, going a little off topic there :P

US National Park Service Rescue vehicle and I think the text on the side says something like Oland Carton National Park, but since I'm from Europe I don't know any national parks in the US.
