yeah i did go a tad over bord.... just recently i took out the flood lights and put in the directional comand. the propuse was to have fewer lights lights flashing if the truck was sitting somewhere. i mean since i figured this out im getting good at it. and that was more of a trial version. and you have to admit it was better then what was there. if you have any ideas on what to lose feel free to contact me here or on pm and i could mak it happen. the new file i have with the directional instead of flood lights have about about 10 new lights to give it the flashing look. in realality the only thing that was added was reverse strobes and 4 flashing lights in the light bar. :schreiben: if you would like me to post them just say so. lol i dont want anyone to think im walking over there feet by modifying things.

^thats sort of the point of the mod...there realistic based but theres obviously alot more lights then what a real unit would have. Plus if there LED set ups like what CFD has been doing, then you wouldnt need an extra battery irl most likely, as LEDs draw such a tiny bit of power.





i´m aware of the LED capabilities, it was just a comparison, no every vehicle in the mod has led lights, it is a great mod i was just saying that there are way too much lights

One day when I get the free time, I'll be talking to Hoppah, and hopefully, I'll start a realistic one, with the lightbar that is known on Tony's lights. Some people like the Christmas tree thing, I don't however, unless the real unit is like that. I aimed to keep them at least like 85% realistic...

i would be more then willing to do something more realestic. like i mentioned some one needs to send video or links of video to show me what is more realistic for l.a mod

I have currently just completed my project, which I may release as a sub mod or not... I still have a couple things I might change or so. I'll get back to everyone on this tho.

Question, I downloaded the updated chp charger lights. Told it to overwrite the previous file, yet in game I still have the original chp charger that I did a few edits to the lightbar. Any tips?
Conversation between a FDNY Firefighter and unknown video photographer right after both towers fell and the firefighter is at his truck getting his gear:
Photographer: Did you already go in?
Firefighter: What?
Photographer: Did you go in?
Firefighter: I was there, yea.
Photographer: Are you going back?
Firefighter: Its my Job....
Firefighter then collects his gear and begins walking back toward the towers.....
Photographer: Good Luck.

Since you are a new guy, I will go light on your before the old heads get you.

YOu will need to install the la mod first. These files simply replace them

they should be just a simple extract to the LA mod folder... I used to include a readme, but I don't know if CFD does now or not

Just a very small update:

Updated the LAPD Marked Car, making it real life based. Added Hide-A-Way Strobes, and removed corner strobes, brake strobes, updated the Arjent Bar.

Yeah, but its not based off real life. It has brake wig wags, Side Window LED ( for intersection clearing) and LAPD does not use em...

I noticed that the EMS Supervisor CV is lacking redirect lights, and the CHP Charger no longer has functioning hazard lights in the taillights. Oh and you removed the Redirect command from the BC SUV. CHP CV missing stand by command. Any chance of fixing those bugs and the bugs here:

If your going to do these light updates is it to much to ask that you dont alter the command of the units?

EDIT: That rar only has a Port Police Prototype...and judging by the size its the same port police prototype thats already been posted.

I don't even have a knowledge or a clue how to "Alter the command of the units". Is it too much to ask that you don't be insular?

I removed the CHP Charger's Emergency Lights Hazard Lights because in real life, they don't have any. I am now shifting towards Real life Based lights from the LAPD and LAFD. Also, i never edited the EMS CV. I will check out the BC SUV and CHP CV.

Well the commands were there until i switched out the prototypes i had for yours. The edit command button is located in the same area where the edit lights button is. vcmdredirect is the redirect command for vehicles, and i believe vmcdstandby is the stand by command name. None the less, its fact, not insult. If I was to insult your work I would have mentioned the lights being crap or something like that, in which case I would be lieing. I love your light set ups, its just becoming a royal pita to fix the commands everytime you release a new light prototype.

As for the Charger Hazard Lights, um every motor vehicle in the world has functioning hazard lights(the front turn signals and the rear brake lights) unless of course its super old or its a military humvee or something like that. As it is now the hazards in the front turn signal are there, and there is a set of hazards in the rear corners of lightbar which to me seems unrealistic for a cop car. Usually I have only seen this on some SUVs.

Hold on.... I have to call you on this one. I've noticed lately that while all the units have amber rear turn signals, most of the real cars don't, but they all possess the hazard function. ALL U.S. cars have hazards...

Not trying to flame you. I love your work, just thought I'd chime in on this one.

Side note: Did the new update (LEV lights download as well, but Coroner LED's, side lights on Slicktop or UMPC or whichever had it)... did anyone else have NONE of those work? My lights are the same now as they were before, except no white BC running lights(Which I did grab the file that was supposed to fix). I'm just confused, I guess...
