Yes there is an English translation for the mod. If you use the webupdater you will recieve a English, French and Italian translation. They're not fully complete but they do translate a lot of the game so that is still playable. You can find the translations in the language folder of the winterberg mod. By editing the metastrings.xml file you can select the language for your version. Change all 'de' terms to 'en' (without ' ') and save the file.

I have a question about english language, so I download and install all updates from WinterbergUpdater (automatically of course), and in Lang folder I have 3 folders, etc. If I want en lang I must enter in en folder and open what? Sorry for my English

You don't need to open any files in the Lang folder. You need to go to the Specs folder and open the metastrings.xml file with notepad/wordpad/word whatever. Then you see all lines of text like this:

<file name="mod:Lang/de/infotexts.xml" />

Change the de part to en for all of the lines of text like so: 

<file name="mod:Lang/en/infotexts.xml" />

Save the file and exit. Most of the Winterberg mod will now be in English.

[EDIT] in the newest version of Winterberg it is even much easier. In the Specs folder there is a file called metastrings.en, If you change the name of that file to metastrings.xml. And click yes if you are asked to overwrite files all of the lines will be changed automaticly.[/EDIT]

Go to the Lang files and rename the en folder to de.

OK... Just for the record...
What is the latest version, and where to download it? And are the system specs the same as with EM4?

In the Winterberg mod folder have one WinterbergUpdater, to start downloading and installing all new updates you just start icon and it will begin. Now my Winterberg mod is 637MB

the latest version of winterberg mod, with the downloader has the english tranlastion allready down load you simple need to active them.

Instruction can be found in the winterberg post on this board.

I recently downloaded the winterberg mod, and its a cool mod, but I don't speak german, and ever time I click to dispatch a unit I get 5 units in one area, and then by the time I somehow manage to get one firefighter out and get a hose, the city is half on fire,

please explain how you play this mod

Currently I am working on Winterberg Video Tutorial ;D
I should upload on YT first episode today about 22 CET

Damn... My PC crashed and I lost most of my progress in Vegas :(
When I come back from holidays in states I will take care of this.

So, what is it the fire fighters do? Do they wait a block away before going to the station to get the truck? Nope. 10 or 12 guys go into the Station, put their gear on, and 6 of them jump in the Pump. The rest, they stay in the building in case they need the Rescue. So, Pump 1 responds from 119 Bertie St to 119 Bertie St, but, they have to follow protocol. So, they drive around they block, and stage at the corner, waiting for police to clear the building they just left.

Merged topic with the winterberg topic. A lot of things are already explained in this topic. Just browse thorugh it and I think you'll find most of the answers to your questions, including how to translate winterberg into an English version (yes you can!!!).
