exactly... but FBI is stationed within each state already... whether they are called they will be called from within the state... not out of state...

As a federal agency they are mandated by the FCR and USC not state law as they also have no jurisdictional athority to enforce state law. But this is not, or I would think should not be, the actual topic of this subdiscussion. The actual discussion on the lights rather that this sidetrack, realisticly LA FBI Regional Field Office vehicles do (unless changed and I haven't seen them) have lights in the front window as well as the grille. But more importantly than that, this is Hoppah's mod and he can do it what ever way he wants! :)

wow kids, lets not get our heart rates up. I would assume that (and I have not actually seen a real unmarked FBI car, though I have seen other federal agencies) most of these cars are sparsely lit. You have to remember, these aren't patrol vehicles and rarely respond code 3, so there is no need for an impressive light setup. In Boston, the detective cars (until around last year, and many are still like this) only had a blue light above the rear view mirror, they didn't even have wig wags or flashing tail lights.

Any other light used in this state falls under the following sections and include the words MAY instead of shall. In other words, they're allowable but not necessary, only the steady burn red light is mandatory.

Thanks Mike. You've already answered a question before I even asked. My question was if all emergency vehicles have steady burns. :D

mikephoto - i was not only refering to police vehicles... i ment all emergency vehicles ie EMS FIRE AND POLICE.

the paranoid- in accordance to federal and state laws... the federal gov. must abide the state laws that are in place.. there for the state has more control of what goes on in that state.. the fed. gov law states that if an incident arises then the fed. gov will over power state law. called martial law issued by the president of the US. only which the fed gov may take over the state gov. laws.

The order of the law is from lowest to highest in the us

Local, County, State, Federal.

A example of this is New York Recently passed a law for airline passenger rights. The Federal court over ruled that law stating the New York has not auhtority to make law on such a matter that airline travel falls under Federal jurisdiction.

As for FBI begin local? Not the cause the Agent in charge may be but for a big case they bring agents in from all over the place. How do I know this. Well at one point in time I was considering becoming a Special Agent of the FBI. So I did research.

:1046276160_schildbacktotopic:
Does it really matter at this point? Cars out of their home jurisdiction will not change their light setups, trust me on that one, which does happen alot with federal agencies... "Hang on while I change my lights so I can go into that county or state" Not going to work, in the end this is the most useless discussion so why not find something more practical to discuss? Something that perhaps is relevant?

Please do not ask when an update is comming out, it is against the terms of use of this forum, and rather annoying too. Please also edit your posts in the future, I do not like having to merge people's posts.

Hi there. A small update this time.

The fire engine's and watertender have the ability to use their water cannon and hose connections at the same time.
Both things still work the way they did in the original game, so no install commands anymore. :)
The fast deployment command to install some fire fighters with hoses fast is still there and has been added to the watertender.

I've also changed the starting procedure of the freeplay modes.
The important command to spawn the vehicles inside the fire station will be executed automaticly after loading now.

Did the fire engines used to have a watertender before? (that was disabled)

But on a lighter note, awesome update, pure awesomeness!

NICE WORK, HOPPAH!!! You cease to amaze me with this mod. I see that you are working on the LED lightbar for that the new LAPD cars are fitted with. I can't wait until the next version is released. This mod is the only thing that keeps me interested in the game anymore :)

On an unrelated note, the picture of the Tahoe doesn't seem to be there anymore?

One question however, do the water cannons turn on automatically or will you have to engage them?

id prefer to have to engage them, gives it a more realistic feel, and then you have the chance to deploy hoses to extinguish the fire.

just my opinion though, i like to have things realistic in this mod :D

also, i love your mod i haven't played something this real ever :D

cant wait for 1.6

Great work Hoppah, as always. Some nice enhancements to the engines.
The automatic spawn is a nice touch as well.

Thanks for all your efforts

I've added a command to turn them off, but they are activated by default and I can't change that.

Have you played the mod or not? Do the engine's have 'extinguishing functions' in 1.5? No
The fire engine's only had the hose connections, not a working cannon.
