Problem with 911FR on Vista

No dice. They aren't compatible.

I'm building my own PC right now, and it has a non-mobile video card (obviously) so hopefully this will be fixed. That being said, my laptops video card is better than most PC cards...

Sigh.

Its due to graphic problems.

Its due to graphic problems.

I have the same problem, when I start the game I get a black window titled 911:FirstResponders for 3 sec. Then the monitor goes black for 2 seconds and I get tossed back to windows.

I have:

Hi and :welcome: to the forums,

?ERROR: The Vision engine requires support for the ARB_multitexture extension!
Please make sure you have the latest video drivers installed for your 3D card.

Found in your logfile and much video functions arent available either. I'd recommend updating your drivers. But I can't guarantee that it will work as you've got a 64bit windows.

I have the newest drivers as I just got my new PC for a couple of weeks ago.


The game runs perfectly on my old PC with 6800GT GFX card and Vista 32 bit.

Drivers are often updated twice a month. Drivers on cd are never the latest one. It are the first one released. On preinstalled computers the drivers are mostly old, if not as in most cases the first drivers eer released.

well try running it under comaptibility mode, if this doesnt work there isn't much change you will get it working as you have windows vista 64bit

Compability mode doesn't help. I also don't think the problem is 64 bit as there are nearly no problems with newer games' compability with 64 bit. I mean, even BF1942 etc works smoothly. I do have some suspicions towards the driver for the 64bit 8-series from Nividia.

Don't compare sixteen tons games to ea games that a very heavy difference on codding work. Contact Atari for further assistance and maybe a patch.
