Okay, while I was out the twp. ambulance pulled up so the guys could grab a movie from Redbox. So finally I was able to get some close pics. Now I just wish I could get a video of the lights.
One pic came our blurry since they were getting ready to leave, I rushed to snap it really quick.

I just felt weird so I didn't. It was in a parking lot at a grocerie store. The driver couldn't be much older than me. In his very early 20's. But I may go to the station and ask though. I did with the city to get pics of the chief's truck and they were really nice about it! So I just may..

I really don't like met's new livery. :( the old one is so much better and had that kinda unique touch.
& I don't think that the STG Sprinters will look any good on them.

Anyway, great pics & LOOOVE that new RR

I like that Brush Truck. Strange for that Unmarked car to have rotators on the parcel shelf, isn' it? :)

Yeah kinda. They had a led dash light up front though. If it is in fact a detective, then the lights wouldn't be as much as a issue as it would be for a traffic unit. So I would expect the most basic of lighting.
I like the truck too!

Looks like a do-it-yourself lighting job. I had a light that looked just (and I mean just) like those lights. it was a simple cheap thing that plugged into the car outlet. It was a crummy light the bottom magnet didn't work right. Still a cool unit and nice picture.

I hope that you are getting permisson to be takening those photos of police officers sitting in their vehicles. Some members get a bit upset if you don't ask for permission. I know that this is not in canada but it is also now very frowned upon and rumor has it that the goverment is considering making it against the law with out written consent before.

Never the less good photos, they will help anyone who is wishing to make a Akron mod :D

Well Canada is also working on making it illegal to photograph seal clubbing because they don't want people around the world to see what is happening in the north. Here in the United States laws like that are less likely to fly.

I am more than sure i would have been told not to take or release photos showing themselves in the photos i take by now, if it happens, im guessing it will be the 'thrown against the police car and handcuffed' method.

I do know that there are certain groups of people not to be photographed, such as SWAT members and detectives in unmarked cars. I also do not photograph police in action such as them making arrests and i also do not take photographs of suspects being arreste.d

You can take photographs of anything/anyone if you are in public in a place you have a right to be. (In the US) So if you were on a sidewalk and saw a patrol car you could take a picture of them as long as you don't sell it. So if its in public you are Okay, the cops will hassle you and will probably arrest you for disobeying a lawful order, but since the order is not lawful it won't hold up in court. Of course its best to use discretion especially with detectives and undercover officers. Hopefully no one on here would ever intentionally or unintentionally put law enforcement officers at risk.
