Have a mission where you have to stand there all day staring at a garbage can with your agent...... make it last 12 hours if you move or get distracted you fail. That's very realistic

Wow, that could be a great mission... But what do you think about this, simple mission: You are on a far country in the embassy, Cia have reported that an angry multitude is gona take it, so you have to ask some informant who is the leader of the revolt, where is it and arrest him. Maybe it would be like in the campaing's Raid mission with a perimeter that if you crosses it there starts the action, but cause you're a secret agent they only can know that you're are an agent if you take out the gun.

Next mission: the arrest of the revolt´s lider has enraged even more the angry multitude, so they are going to the embassy, you have to content the riot preventing them from entering the embassy's precint and extinguishe fires caused by Molotov cocktails. You have to evacuate the embassy personel and place them in vehicles; oh shit! they have pulled down the embassy's gate, we have to leave this!!!

Last part of this series of missions, when the angry multitude enters on the embasy you have to go to a safe place where the helicopter can take down, a schoolyard placed on the outskirts of the city. You leave the embassy through a back door and you have to protect the convoy of Molotov's and more attacks, avoiding the Ambassador's car gets destroyed and getting the least number of casualties among the embassy staff. If you can save the Ambassador you fulfill the mission, if not, Ambassador's death will hanging around in your consciousness...

@MikeyPI..How right you are about that. That is so what an agent is going to do. I have several friends who are USSS Special Agents, and that's all they did when they were junior agents working on a protective assignment.

@Aitor...Good mission idea. However, That's more what the US Department of State's Diplomatic Security Service (http://www.state.gov/m/ds) would do as opposed to the USSS, but it really doesn't matter for the purposes of the game.

The president's life is threatened; the NSA has reported that some terrorist will attack president during the next day speech in front of the White House. The NSA messenger has been killed so they have been aware of the problem when the speech have started. First you have to look for bombs and suspects and interroge them and you have to place your agents and snipers in tactical places. A first bomb explodes some minute before the terrorist tries to enter the White House precint, you have to evacuate victims. After some minute the terrorists enters to the precint full of reporters and more people you have to neutralize the terrorists avoiding inocent deaths and resist until the choppers reach the place to evacuate the president.
When you have taken the president in the chopper and you're going to a safe place flying over a forest some RPG missiles shoot down the escort helicopters and the president's one gets damaged, you have to land on a safe place without trees in the forest. You only have few agents to keep safe the president, that you have to guide him to a safe place and defend it until you find them in the forest with dogs or choppers or with any other way. When you neutralize all the terrorist and rescue the president, you have to carry to escort him to the safe place.

What do you think about it? ;)

nice thats a lot of thought lol

Maybe on the last mission of the mini series after the crash you have to quickly evacuate all the casualties while the angry mod i coming up the road? just an idea, Though its a pretty bad one.

Yepper it is unfortunately what the job entails... Even higher ranking you end up for the most part babysitting something or another to ensure that it is secured..

The mission concept he has created works and would likely include the US Marines stationed to defend the installation as opposed to DSS or the USSS, the only concern for either of these offices is the principle VIP they are assigned to protect. In a foreign soil situation most security detail comes from the local agencies to control the perimiter while the primary security forces come from within your independent protective detail... Unfortunately most the time it is impractical and to be honest politically dangerous to have the area carpet bombed by your defense forces since if someone shot someone (even justified) it would probrably cause heavy diplomatic tensions as a result.

Depending on the viability and level of a threat dictates whether a helo would be deployed, if the aircraft could draw potentially fatal fire in a situation they would never employ it in times of crisis for the simple fact of it being far too high risk.. In those instances ground convoys are typically deployed because they are far more rapid to stage and far less noticable than the helicopters landing and obviously having to return to the skies. Unfortunately you can only secure so much space and all it takes is one armed baddie and your helo is kaput.

MikeyPI, I agree with you 100%. USSS and State DS agents' main concern when on a protective assignment is the safety of their principle. The Marines would definitely be tasked with defending the Embassy against attack. This same scenario came up when I interviewed for a State DS Special Agent position in 1998. However, I do think that some of the mission ideas are interesting even if they aren't realistic.

MikeyPI, well for escape from the embassy, like you've said, the convoy would be better because is less dangerous, but if you are in another country where would you carry the embassy staff? I don't think that other countries would give you shelter in their embassy, if they done it, most probable would be that the people that is going against you go against them, so the most safe would be going to a safe place where a helicopter or a ship could take you without having threat.

In an instance of such a situation (which has occured in the past) where a nation became so unstable that a forced evacuation, usually the USN will evac via 53's or chinooks depending on the numbers to a carrier or wasp group, in an incident where a principle is involved usually the embassy and it's staff is not the primary target, so you are addressing removing the reason behind the threat... Usually this would be done via convoy to an airfield for fixed wing extraction... Helicopters will simply pose far too great a risk to the personnel on board them if the threat was against everyone, not a primary target.

IF the embassy was compromised they'd just take the staff to an airport and evacuate them via a fixed wing aircraft until repairs can be completed or relocate them to a secured zone.

Quick thought, DHS not DSS?
DHS=Homeland Security
DSS=Child support

Otherwise looking good. Maybe a mission that is overseas and and airstrike by Marine CAS has to be called due to high tango numbers, maybe a firing squad or two of Marines called in as well?
