I know the CV would stick out, but I still think it would look pretty cool, even if it is the on;y one, maybe they could edit the fire trucks too, but if I get this game, I will stick to the basics. And another reason it is 1940s is because Rockstar already has Modern Police cover with the LCPD mod for GTA IV,

I'm assuming you mean LCPD:FR mod? That's not their thing... They make no money off of it

That's what he was talking about, I was confused about that.

I can guarantee 99% right now, you will never see any modern packs for LA Noire unless they release it for PC, then people will be making mods in no time. I have a feeling it will be releasable for PC though. Pretty much all of Rockstar's games have been released for PC, even though there was a delay between the console release and PC release. But then again, Red Dead Redemption was never released for PC, so I don't know.

You did good.

Anyone knows they'll send the FBI to your house, should you put any other birth date than your real one.

maybe if enough people nag Rockstar games they'll release a Crown Vic package with the game or something

Well depending on how many years the game goes through, the Crown Vic might make an appearance :P

I got it Tuesday and I gotta say, great game so far.

Huuuuuge map, and a crapload of (licensed!) cars from the 40s.

For those wondering, the standard police cruiser is a late-40s Ford which looks a lot like this one:
http://policecarwebs...ars/lapd334.jpg

But early in the game, you get to drive various unmarked detective cars. So far I've driven a Buick and a Nash.

As far as emergency vehicles are concerned, there's also an LAPD Studebaker driven by the crime scene photographer, a paddy wagon, a Chevy coroner's van, two models of ambulances, and an American LaFrance LAFD engine.

I am installing this game right now and am looking forward to playing it. I must say though that it was kind of surprising finding the second rock star game in a row with PS3 exclusive content.I'm not complaining, I just wonder why they're doing it. Maybe they have a deal with sony or something?

Wow, I've just seen some gameplay videos and it´s really awesome... But a fail: the cars don´t get damage. Shame they haven´t released it for PC

Edit: the cars get damage, I've just seen it...

does anyone else have the freezing/overheating issue with this game?
scratch that, I thought I was having the freezing problem associated with L.A. Noire, but I ran several other games on my PS3, including Red Dead Redemption, all of which I ran into similar problems with, so clearly, it's my consel.
Update: I just sent requests to both rockstar and playstation support departments. It'll be interesting to see if they both say it's not their fault. I know it is because they're the only two things that changed before the problem started.
