No. The extracted .exe won't launch. The little circle thing that shows it's loading comes up but nothing actually comes up.
Hey man, used to have this issue but its quite easily fixed if you do infact have the same problem. Because the files so large when the PC scans it for viruses etc (this is automatically done by windows with UAC [user account control]) it takes a LONG time. To get rid of this and hopefully fix the crash do the following, for windows 7:
1) Type in the start menu search bar for UAC.
2) Select 'Change User Account Control Settings'
3) Move the slider down to the very bottom. This has disabled UAC so it will not scan the .exe file.
4) Install as normal, hopefully this will work.
5) OPTIONAL: Reinstate UAC by moving the slider back up, this protects your PC So would reccomend this.
If you dont have W7 then just google disabling UAC. There should be a tutorial. Hope this helps mate!

They're taking suggestions in the Stillwater topic I believe. I think it's just something they threw together really quick though, not the final truck.
And now I'm excited for the Manhattan Mod! I was playing it a few days ago and forgot about how cool it was. Something that caught my eye about v3 was the fact that I'll be able to park other trucks in the stations for station coverage. I wanted to do that when I was playing, but it wouldn't work haha. So I'm looking forward to the new version!

The script to redirect traffic from ers berlin is really a nice idea for this mod
I think they never added that because then traffic would be one giant clusterf*** of cars trying to get past eachother while driving the wrong way on a four lane street.

That would indeed be nice. That way you can direct traffic past an incident without a big jam up to where vehicles spawn.

Will you be using the script from the Stillwater mod where you can open one door at a time? For example, if engine 54 is going out on a medical you don't have to open B9's garage door.
Yes but remember the difference in number of stations between stillwater and v3. Scripting each gate to its own command would be beyond tedious.
The script to redirect traffic from ers berlin is really a nice idea for this mod
Something we've tried to replicate. I've managed to get the vehicles to move to each point I specify but then re-connecting to their original path is beyond my current scripting ability.
We have however just managed to make it so that equipment disappears on the rigs when you get it. For example spineboards, hi rise packs, extinguishers and stretchers will disappear when they're being used and then re-appear as you leave the scene.

I've dabbled trying to achieve this but so far no luck. My main attempt at the moment is a script that will see people move into positions to block traffic and peds before entering or leaving the station. Run into some syntax errors so I'm gonna have to start afresh with that. But there's definitely some new scripts included, some our own like the hose connection script. Some borrowed with credit like Copenhagen's Spineboard script or Queensland's taser script.
We're just hoping to make v3 as dynamic as possible
