I prefer undercover gear.
The costume and stuff looks more like FBI or CIA.

I'd go for shirt and tie myself for a few reasons:
1.Outside a few sting operations, that's all that my old professor wore as an LAPD homicide detective (and all he still wears for that matter)
2.Watching First 48, that is all that the homicide detectives wear, regardless of location.
3.Unless you've made any significant changes I'm not aware of, the detective in game will function in the capacity of a homicide detective.

So, for reality sake I'd stick with suit and tie.

Cba with that, they're only really a substitute for the FBI agents, used mainly for patrolling the city and responding to big PD calls.

I feel like if they are only being used

that the jacket option might be the best bet. Just so that they are identifiable during the situation.

1 hospital , 3 precincts, and 5 firehouses. Just an update we will have at least 1 manhattan mod mission for release. It is already about 85% complete and we wont show anything until its done

Well, as a fan of this mod (I am no teammember) I would predict within a few months. They already have BETA testing and that's usually a good sign. They've showed off a lot of features, and the mod seems kinda finished.
If I'd have to guess, I'd guess something like March 15th. But I am really just shooting in the dark here.

If you had read Dyson's & Rafael's post's you'd have noticed they said they're not going to give out any prediction incase of any setbacks. Period.

Gonna be honest we just don't know yet. We are only just beginning to focus on gameplay improvements rather than models. Therefore I'm not going to make empty promises :)
