I'd go for shirt and tie myself for a few reasons:
1.Outside a few sting operations, that's all that my old professor wore as an LAPD homicide detective (and all he still wears for that matter)
2.Watching First 48, that is all that the homicide detectives wear, regardless of location.
3.Unless you've made any significant changes I'm not aware of, the detective in game will function in the capacity of a homicide detective.

So, for reality sake I'd stick with suit and tie.

Cba with that, they're only really a substitute for the FBI agents, used mainly for patrolling the city and responding to big PD calls.

Well, as a fan of this mod (I am no teammember) I would predict within a few months. They already have BETA testing and that's usually a good sign. They've showed off a lot of features, and the mod seems kinda finished.
If I'd have to guess, I'd guess something like March 15th. But I am really just shooting in the dark here.

If you had read Dyson's & Rafael's post's you'd have noticed they said they're not going to give out any prediction incase of any setbacks. Period.
