We've seen enough buildings. we get it.

Just build up your mod, save the surprises for the end, it's important to keep the element of surprise uncompromisable. the more you show off pictures of your new treats, the more it becomes .... monotonous and platitudinous. It's like im watching the same movie trailer over and over and over. No offense, but Mike and ironcitycats has a valid argument point.

But lets be real here, this mod still kicks ass, HOWEVER i would not be surprised if this modification is to not be completed ( im guessing during school season,) and die away... Please prove me wrong though, kay?

and remember this ... this is not a competition...and shouldn't be treated as such. nobody will be getting medals in the end, lol.

One question though, Rafal, why are you posting the same pics on the other (WIP) World Trade Center Thread posted under Modification subforum.... Are you two working together and sharing the same files, or what? I dont think two forum topics are necessary if you're going to show the same thing....

Me and dyson have been working together for about 2 months now so the WTC mod and ny submod are being created together. Ok I understand you guys opinion but I work the way I want

This mod will be completed, I don't see how anyone could question that. And how is showing screens and 'sucking up' bad. Right from this moment we wont show any screens if it winds you all up that much.

And the reason I took offence is because it is being claimed this mod is just to fulfill some need for attention. So yeah I have the right to be a bit pissed off.

P.S. The two mods are seperate, however we are working on each others, they will not merge due to a lot of issues surrounding the ethics of 9/11, however they will feature the same base, but the WTC mod will feature buildings for 9/11, vehicles for 9/11 and missions.

To include this submod that has progressed from humble beginnings to what it is now ,with all these so called WIP's that are started by newcomers who start a "I want this mod cause it's cool can you do it for me" is an insult...Most of all the WIP's lately are all like that and how is updating the followers a bad thing???on the other hand according to mr. 2 post(if that's who he really is) if we work in silence then you would have 143 pages of "is it done yet?","any updates?"

What you are doing has worked this long into the project and the majority of your fans are happy,so why change for 1 guy.Maybe he can go make his own WIP thread and just disappear like the rest of them...

Wait, what? I thought this was featuring a 9/11 inspired mission due to all of pictures you've been showing of WTC models. So, you're supporting someone else's project, totally seperate obvously, by posting things of theirs in your topic? That's a really great idea isn't it...

I also completely agree with the fact that the whole thing is a bunch of smoke and mirrors untill you see a finished product (insert WIP that never came to fruition here) but at least they had a previous version which is more than other mods can say. But, ultimatly, you can say what you want because that's what an open forum is about, sharing whatever you want with everyone, even those who could care less. So, don't be too surprised why they criticize you, becuase they have a right to think and say (to an extent) whatever they want.

I hope you guys working on the mod don't think I'm criticizing their work, because I'm not. I've been on Dyson's youtube page and have read every page in this thread.

I just think 143 pages of "what do you guys think" is a bit over the top. I'm sorry 144 now that I've stirred up this hornet's nest.

I sincerely (and I mean it) hope this gets released. If I was a rich man, I would've already sent Hoppah some money just to say thanks for such an awesome project he started with the LA Mod. The same would go for anyone who's created a mod that I was able to enjoy.

Keep putting up screens and asking people if they like it, if that's what gives you an adrenaline rush.

You know what gives me an adrenaline rush ????????? Mods that actually get released. : )

P.S. I played 2.3 a little while back. I liked the change of scenery and FDNY/NYPD equipment. Too buggy to play for more than 30 minutes though.

P.P.S. Dyson and Rafael both sound like they are young. I could be wrong, but this is what people call "constructive criticism". When you grow up and enter the real world, you will then know what I'm talking about. Or you could stomp your feet and cry. Makes no difference to me. I probably won't check back in for a little while, but by all means please don't hesitate to call me names and/or ban me. But seriously, good luck with the mod.

I get your point, but don't patronize with the young element. Rafael was new to modding, so his style was to show off his work to gain gratification to see that it was indeed good. However I preferred to release a screen demoing something new we were trying, such as youtube videos and new units. I often (and this is no disrespect to Rafael) told him to hold back on the screens via email (ask him, he'll agree). Recently I've released a screen every now and again, it's arguements like this that have taken up most of this forum.

Way back on topic, work has resumed, buildings are under way for generic buildings, the map is really coming along, I'll be sure to email you all when it's done..

hey hey i have a problem.
After downloading the mod today, and putting the map file in to the la mod packeds (what whas included) and i have put them in the em4 ?od directory i can start the mod,, but when starting the game it go's backt to desktop. I don't have problems with other mods. Em i missing something or what can be the problem??
