Hmm, I installed the mod but I see no changes. I tried both Normal and Deluxe modes :\ Tried reinstalling LA Mod, applying the patch and reinstalling 4x4 Submod. No joy :(

EDIT: Ignore me, I was using the wrong link (didn't realise it was the 2.0.7 to 2.0.8 patch - I wanted the full one).

Hey, just a couple of bugs I've found over 50+ hours of game play (well, really only one bug, but applies to several vehicles):

LAX RA, LEV, and several other vehicles do not have functioning sirens. Those are the most recent ones I've used, as I find them I'll post them. I don't use all the vehicles, but I suppose now that I've noticed that issue, I'll eventually use each vehicle at least once just to see.

Red Cross Hummer never had a siren. As for the others, maybe I will fix those in the future, but there not a priority atm. Your best bet is to use an app like winmerge or windiff and compare the siren script to the AUS siren script to add the missing units. I will make sure there included in the next submod though since I did want to make this compatible with the other submods.

It's a small, rustic building with enough parking for three units. I would screenshot it but I don't have fraps or whatever that program is. It's kind of remote, in my opinion, so I rarely use it. I prefer to use the LASD as more of a lock-up agency rather than an arresting agency; that is, LAPD patrols the street, and when they have a criminal, LASD is called to take the prisoner to lockup.

The submod is really good, I doubt that the LASD station would make or break the decision to download it. Go out on a limb, install EM4 and the LA Mod, and then install this. You'll enjoy it.

First off, from the rules:

Secondly, have patience. Theres no need to triple post.

Third, its a police station/sheriff station. Its one of many changes to the mod so I really think if your deciding factor is if you like this station or not, then maybe your better off not getting it or EM4. Not every mod will please you 100% there are always things in a mod you will like and dislike, so if your deciding factor is such a tiny element of this or any mod, then there no point in even playing it.

before i add my issue to the list, i just want to say thanks for making a great submod!!

ok, i'm trying to replace engine 17 at FS2 with an engine 01. I have the spawn correct but where i am having trouble is the LAToFireStation.script I used the engine 1 return to station logic from LAMod V2.2 and the engine returns to the station. however, when it arrives at the back door/gate, it gets stuck and starts repeating the return to station message. I have attached the text version of my LAToFireStation script. Any help or advice about how to solve this problem would be much appreciated.

I really dont want to support changes to my submod because the codes is so different then the original. However I will point you in the right direction:

This code can be completely deleted. The problem is the code right above that. Theres 2 ways to fix it. Use winmerge and find the code like that in the original latofirestation. It will mention something like if(fs1closer) and thats the problem. Your telling Engine 01 to return to both stations but your not telling it if FS1 closer, go to FS1, if FS2 closer, go to FS2.

The other way would be to remove all the references to Engine 03, and place Engine03 in FS2. This is going to be the easier way and the only difference is the engine in FS2 will have have an LED lightbar rather then a MX7000 lightbar.

thanks xplorer for point me in the right direction, i got it working except for the gate animation which is not a big deal.

Now onto my next project/suggestion. I have been fiddling with the LRA/Rescue 7 truck and have modified it to be a ambulance/rt combo. the only problem i am having is with the bat capt script. when he gives the call rescue 7 command, it ignores all units on the map and buys a new one, regardless if one is parked at the fs or in standby mode else where. i have attached the bat capt script. any pointing in the right direction would be helpful. thanks again!!
