Some people like to role play a little bit, so, using the LA mod as an example, they put CHP on the highway, and have other police cars and whatnot setup around the city. I usually save a freeplay game that has the setup I like as soon as I set it up, that way I can just start a new freeplay game with the setup already done and not have to do it again. With the maps switching during the game in this mod though, it won't really be that big a deal.

I never thought about playing that way. Good idea!

Actually, I do that all of the time. I send lots of units to police calls. I send engines to medicals. etc. BTT :1046275767_ugly:

Have you figured out a way to make the cars not blow up, because that never happens in real life?

I am am firefighter and i have never seen a car accually blow up. The only thing i have ever seen blow up are the tires, airbags and hydrolic supports and that is because of pressure build up.

Well they might fix that in a update when their done with the mod. You also have to keep in mind this is a game. Even I lose track that this mod is still part of a game and not a simulation.

They never said they would add such a feature so there is no need to debate on this any further unless proved that this will be part of the modification, which is, as ToaDster said, not a new game. Emergency 4 has its huge limitations and always will anyways. Stop being so much demanding regarding to the NY Mod team, they already added a lot more than what anybody could have expected a few years ago.

Just a quick question. This came up while watching a video.

Will the Fire Chief be able to do more then send units?

EDIT: Another question. Will there be such emergencies as "Structure Collapse"? Again, after watching a video, a structure collapses with multiple injuries.

Just a question.

what more would you want them to do? The point of the game is that in fire emergencies, you are the chief, so would you want the game to play itself for you?

You are the dispatcher techincally.. Chiefs don't have supervisors ;)

And as for the matter of what a chief can do aside from call units, really they don't do much else.. What else can they do?
