I'm sorry, maybe it's just me, but does anybody else find a 50 minute call time for ems absolutely ridiculous? It was just a general BLS call too; no ALS or extrication or rescue or anything.

in New Sea land, I thought in Piha, it's normal that an ambulance has a ETA between 40 and 60 minutes

For different countries or more rural places I could understand that. I work in a more urban place where the is always ems available, whether it's one of our ambulances, a fire department ambulance, a fire engine as a first responder, or a mutual aid ambulance. And we have numerous hospitals within 10 minutes of us. So they must've spent a ton of time on scene. I don't know, compared to call times I've had, for a bls call especially, 50 minutes is pretty ridiculous.
