All new members need to have their first post approved before it appears on the board. So if that first post is all links in chinese to Louis Vutton knockoffs, the bot is sh*t out of luck.
Also, the spam filter is back online (it had expired back then), so a lot of these bots don't even make it past the registration step.

Just so we're clear, the spam filter is for registrations only, so it can't protect us from guest bots. But then again, only the site support forum is affected by them.
