I don't think I have ever seen a flashbang be very effective. In fact I don't recall them being useful at all the few times I tried using one. I assume they have some effect. Is it a visible effect?

If it lands near a offender they will be become stunned and you can arrest them without them fighting back.

I swear there's a similiar thread to this somewhere here but either way;

I send a singular army vehicle with 6 guys (No, it wouldn't happen in RL, but this is a game ^.^)

Get one guy to get a flashbang, then set the other 5 in a diagonal line around a centimeter behind him.

Click the furthest guy back on your line and get him to arrest the man with the sign, then, making your way towards the front of the line arrest the others.

While your men charge forward shouting all forms of battle cry, throw the stun/flash grenade, all the protesters will amble around like they are on meth, and you arrest them all with no injuries obtained.

Load everyone up, and drive off the map.

Sorted.

(In terms of flashbangs, provided they land close they stun enough for an arrest without a fight every time)

Funny story.
I was playing LA Mod Freeplay yesterday. I am 740 minutes into my freeplay map, and there was a little fire in a bush. But there was a traffic jam on the narrow road where it was. When I tried to send in a fire truck, it couldnt get past the traffic. Fire grew...
Moments later, right next to the fire, was a rioter :flagwave: about five minutes later, the fire was out of control, and had killed the rioter. but more kept joining the riot.....
Long story short, I had to have over 25 police units respond to shutdown and evacuate over half the city that was in flames. All roads on that side of the map were blocked off and no civilians were allowed past. I had to sent in 13 fire trucks to control the flame. I took over an hour and a half to put it out. Then, rather than wasting money on a MCU, I had 20 ambulances patrolling the city, so i just used them to clean up. Then, over the course of two hours, I slowly clean up the exploded cars (78 cars)

The point to the game is to save people, so the best way is a way that doesn't involve anyone getting hurt. :)
Well with v2.0 you can't use ambulances for dead people.

Then yes, 12 hours may be possible.
The longest I have played mine for is about 1 hour then I just start a new game. :)

yes Hoppah, i have played you freeplay map for 12 hours, over the course of three days. As of today, i am up to 831 minutes, and still cleaning up cars... @Forensics, i could have started over, but there was no need. just treat it like the forest fire mission, make lines of firetrucks and hold the fire back.
and btw, i have racked up 809,740 points so far, have 16 police cars patrolling, 14 ambulances, and two police helicopters, bot fully loaded with armed swat teams...and i still have 120,000 dollars...

I get like 6 heavy rescue vans, get half with shields,I try to use the flashbang method, but like it's ok i guess,I just take long to arrest. BTW,I had a fire engine stuck when some rioters popped out of nowhere, there was like 15,I shot them all down, then got a MCU and two large ambulances to save them!

With out the water armor unit. You mostly end up getting all your officer hurt or dead. And police have vest and helmets on them. That just seems crazy there in the first place.

Well i usually send a water cannon or the 3rd Swat vehicle a few patrol cars and a couple of ambulances. If it worked for me than it should for you!!!!! Good luck

I send in the 1 water canon swat teams as well as a few more swat teams. I use a couple of patrols to block of the streets as well as what they are facing (this makes them back up a little). I also have a fire truck and a large ambulance staged one block out in case someone gets hurt or they start a fire as well as 2 or 3 police vans (depending on how many there are). When everything is in place, I get a few guys with shields and the rest are just ready for arrests. I have them all start heading toward the protectors to start arresting while I throw a flash grenade. I then arrest a good 85% without any trouble. The rest are quickly caught and put in the police vans. This usually results in no injuries, but there sometimes are a few(1 or 2). If things get way out of hand, I try and get as many of my units out and behind the water canon as possible, start the water canon up and wait for backup.
