That date was changed so the beta could be released as a tribute to a firefighter who died. The beta will be released on the 12th of July as a tribute to Firefighter Ewan Williamson.

Ok, but that can't be the only reason, they haven't finished that many vehicles yet and it's already long past christmas.
If that firefighter hadn't of died it still would have been changed.

Scotland Mod Never Got Announced Before That. I Said Ages Ago The Beta Is In Memory Of A Firefighter. It Was Always Going To Be Then As Me Being A Fire Cadet I Would Like To Show My Respect To That Firefighter.

Okay.. Front Page Updated With A Grampian Fire Engine Responding. 401 Forres Pump 1 Mobile To Elgin Petrol Station Due To The Major Floods. We Also Had Inverness Down Helping As We Had Over 100 Calls. Also In October We Had Major Flooding In Stonehaven Which Had over 320 Calls.

100% right bout that.
But at that time there where other issues behind the scenes witch kept us away from building the mod.
(costing us) to much valuable time. giving a really big delay.
On that base i can say, we lost a few members, giving me more models to do.
Had some arguments about models with another team(i don't want to suggest anything, so i'm keeping the name intentionally out of it).
Giving much more delay.

And because i have to do almost all off the 3d modeling,skinning, in game placing, and some times some foto research. and i stad fast to Z modeler,..the time span needed to become bigger.
So there is your delay (not mad, just explaining).

*Note; There is no lights, nor grill on this skin, cause the only picture i have of this car is inconclusive about the placing and shapes of the lights.
(Unfortunately this Fire brigade model is modified so i can't use the civilian type of light(even the body of the 2008 civilian and fire brigade are different).
When i find more/better pictures they will be added.

As far as the "new" release date promised,...everybody needs to keep in mind,
that that is called beta(cause when i place models into the game i already do the alpha testing).
But a large number of cars/trucks won't be in there....
Our goal is to have the Grampian FD and supporting units from the area in the game and working.

In a second BETA new units will fly in, as well as some map changes.

(i would like to call the next phase charley,.. (But you can see it as BETA 3)
New map + model updates + commands + events

Then on to the BETA RC
(all units, just lots and lots of testing/tweaking)

Then (if all is well) We can upgrade to an RC.
If everything still is well We can release the V1.0 of the scotland mod.

If anything between those steps goes wrong is just a basic formula.

Any error = More time needed to complete(so release date will be delayed)

Yes this is just a little tester on the game. Just to give you guys some idae about this mod. V1.0 will contain new scripts. Stations etc one the betas are out.

A Retaind System.
Full Time Sounds And Them Running To The Truck And Automaticaly Going.
The Exhaust fume tube moves when the truck goes out.
BA Boards With Real Sounds
Diversions. And Loads Others

Maybe cars skidding off the road . Yes we got 1 week off school the snow was bad. We dont get much though. But we have had 4 fetailtys over the last month thats bad for us.
