Hello, i have a problem with the Los Angeles Mod for EM 4. When i play the cars starts to become colorful (sometimes happens with the building too!!) and the emergency personal like firefighters and police officers become transparent. Do you have a answer for me? ( the only choice is to change ghraphical settings every 5-6 minutes ) And if i set " floor shadows on, the floor became black and the cars too. :nixweiss:
Hoppah, I think you're a genius! Exellent mod! :12:

Sounds like your graphic card or cpu is overheating.. Have you checked the Temp of the card and Cpu? if not, it might be the Antialias settings of your graphic card.

Do you have the problem all the time, or is it an on-off thing?
Do you have the same problems with the original game?
I suspect you do, if so do what dizza said and update your video card drivers.

So you only have this problem with the Los Angeles mod? The normal game and other mods work fine?

Some problems I've had:

Selecting multiple units now lags the game horribly, never used to.

The Bat Chief won't go back to his Station unless you manually direct him next to it.

Civilians stand in the middle of the streets and block traffic after being chased away by fires or gunmen. This problem has been here since the new map.

I often get this, I just send an officer to arrest them then move them to the side of the road.
What is more annoying is when dogs go out in the middle of the road.

I just don't use the new map. I mean, it looks great but it's not functional yet. My only suggestion would be to use the map the game came with and make due until Hoppah can work out all the kinks

Its funny; I had this problem in 1.9 and 1.8, but not in 2.0.... weird....

If you got an FF/EMT and you give him a hose. Connects the hose to the engine, and places the guy beside an untreated casualty.
Then he will go help the casualty, and you cannot remove the hose, because it is like he doesn't have one, but he still got a yellow hose following him.
If you make him enter the engine, the hose will be one big line going through the map.

No. The large ambulance is too big to fit in either of the fire stations.

There is a bug with the tiller. It carries hose ingame when it shouldn't.

I don't think the hose is listed in the equipment section for the tiller in the manual.

Well, since the tillers in the LAFD don't cary hose, and neither does the rear-mount ladder ingame, I see no reason why the tiller should carry hose ingame.

the tillers have enough compartment space to fit hose, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't carry something. And if what you're saying is true, then the jaws should be taken off both ladders. Who really needs a ladder at a MVA anyway?

If you read this post, you'll see that in the LAFD the tillers do not carry any hose. This post shows that the Light Forces (and therefor the tillers) do carry jaws.

Ingame, the hose was taken off the ladder, and the jaws were taken off the engines awhile back, before we had the tiller. It only makes sense that the tiller would not carry hose as it is a replacement for the ladder in freeplay.

Let's nip this in the bud right here and right now...

Already noted but thank you for posting.

That would be me, and those familiar with the internal working of the LAFD.

This post alone shows a complete and utter lack of understanding of the purpose of Fire Trucks, how LAFD utilizes them, and their compartment space. The whole point of the Light Force concept is that Quints force departments to make a compromise in the gear they carry to make room for the pump, panel, tank, and hose. By keeping it as two vehicles, that compromise doesn't have to be. Why take up room on a truck when you have a fully stocked pumper following you everywhere?

Please, if you feel the need to get into a pissing match and start throwing around "says who" and making baseless statements, read the Guide posted on this site, the manual included with the game, or use google and learn about the LAFD Light Force program.

Sheesh.
Misinformation is wrong or inaccurate information that is erroneous and can result from ignorance.
