So Dyson stopped helping with the map work didn't he?
No I simply wasn't happy with the map so restarted to make it more Miami like and just generally better.
Gonna take a coupla months to finish, around 10% finished. It's already functional, but only a small area is finished, working my way across the map adding details and paths and texture etc.
Got a video coming soon too.

Here's the video too, my plan is basically to take EMC-Unit's mod and add in a few features I feel it's lacking (from both my own mods and LA etc) add a new map and make it capture the city like we hop the Manhattan Mod captured NYC.
Whether this is released as an updated version or as a submod is completely up to the creators.
So far features include -
Firestations (LA)
Hospital (LA)
Patrol (LA)
Limited Water (Hoppah/Me)
Enter House (Hoppah)
Speed Controls
New Map (Me)
Some retextures (Me)
Various Objects e.g. American Hydrants (Manhattan Mod)
+ More
Feedback appreciated, also I'm looking for 3D modellers to assist if available, so get in touch.

Looks good, I missed a lot of the LA mod features I had come to expect ( chase subject, stations) and glad to hear that would change!
Also Supporting: RCMP mod, Stillwater mod, Lampard mod, Ravenna sub-mod, Rockport mod.
State & National Park enthusiast can help modders in park related issues.
My statements in no way respect the views of any agency I am or was formerly associated with.

Haha glad you like it man, in regards to your PM too, any building models would be very helpful! I've currently just got the default buildings, would prefer to get some miami style ones in too!
Got some more vids coming tonight, just working on getting the firehouses set up at the moment, not actually any on the area I've chosen so they're all ficitonal. I'm also bringing in a 3d modeler to help bump up the unit numbers, going to get some ladder trucks in this mod too as I feel they are very much lacking in the alpha
Progress is really quick so far so should be able to get an early map alpha to you by the end of the week to see what you think

Edit:
Don't want to seem like I'm spamming with updates but a few more developments.
Firehouse #1 is now set up and fully functional.
Here's how it currently looks (NYC model is only temp until actual house is built)
Also I've replaced the slightly odd looking wheels on the Engines, going to eventually get round to some 3d edits on them too and tex edits.
And here's just a shot from a test game I was running, brief brush fire down on the beach, Miami-Dade units responded and then off map assistance from the Miami City FD.

I didn't expect to see this when I checked this topic. I'm looking forward to this, and I'm sure that EMC-Unit won't mind you releasing this haha.

Is this early map for us to play with or is it a video?

Besides giving the rigs a new paint job I tried to add a couple, these are subject to EMC's approval though.
This is Engine 20, it's not 100% accurate to the real life rig but it's near enough for my liking right now.
Credit to bama for the cab model.
Any feedback is as ever very much appreciated.
The is still on going and house #2 is about to be added. Coming along nicely.

Good to see your expertise being used to really enhance a mod and bring it up to it's full potential! Good work man.
The FBI is currently examining my signature. They'll release it when they deem it's not a threat to national security.
