Yes, simply compare and contrast the 4 xml files. In Lang/en, you need to compare the portraits.xml and infotext.xml from the submod, to the one in your LA Mod folder. See what lines were added in the 2 xml files for the submod, and simply add those new lines to the 2 XML files already in the mod folder.

Now your halfway there. Now you need to edit portraits.xml but this one will be in the specs folder along with freeplaybase.xml. Simply find the lines added by the Unmarked submod and add them to the files in the LA Mod folder.

This applies to making any and all submods compatible.

So I could just do this manually? I could just download the file to my ducuments folder and compare the files? :gruebel: Now it won't let me download it! It just takes me right back to the forum homepage! :mad:

all files were lost i think... but any ways this is what u need, i had it saved before the original crashed. this is the original file.

Are these the ONLY 4 files that I have to edit? And the feeplaybase_d.xml is for the Deluxe game, so I don't have to edit it, right? :gruebel: And I didn't overwrite the lapd_impala folders.

Sorry, those 4 files when combined, will get the unit in game. However you also need to do the LASiren Script if you want sirens. So keep in mind to use other submods, you should also merge the files in the script folder. It may sound hard but just try it already. It is pretty simple.

Yeah, I kinda figured that out on my own. Now I don't have 1/2 of my sirens! But everything else worked fine. :happy:

I have the same problem as Rooster with the sirens, now it gives a script error "(_LASirena2195): Limitation: Statement too long". Sirens won't activate for PD vehicles. Not sure if it makes a difference but I only copied the lines and only added the files for the unmarked charger. Works fine in game but no police sirens, anybody know how to fix this?

The statement where you inserted the sirens is to long. Take all the police sirens and split them up in to two groups. Seems to be a limit of EM4.

Read the posts above you. You can manually compatiblate (made-up the word) them yourself! That's what I did, but just make sure that you don't forget the siren.script! :P

I manually installed all them and the only car that worked was the unmarked impala which actually replaces the LAPD Impala (Marked unit)...

Ok,
My question is then where it could go wrong? I mean do I have to do something in the editor or? I have added the vehicle names etc in these important files. Do you know what I CAN have missed?

i had to download it and see what all was included. from what i can tell maybe you messed up the fp_parameters. i would be guessing because i usually add all my own cars instead of just pulling mods out and pushing all the files over. check that out along with the portrait files and see if they match.

I added the Unmarked Dodger Charger V.1.0 from the first page. I copied this cars lines from these files and added inside my files (in, Portraits, Freeplay, Units etc). But it still so.
