Can anybody help me I want to see if I can place the jaws of life into bls Fire engine (fire engine 2) and use it because my department has the jaws of life on every bls rig we have. :23_31_4:

How do i do that becuase i don't have the editor?

you dont have to change any script but you do have to use the editor
go into editor select the unit you want to have the jaws then click on traits and you can change the equipment you want in that unit

The thing is that I don't have the editor period.
But how do I get it

you should have it it comes with the game
click on the start menu then click all programs then move your mouse over sixteen tons or wizard works then move your mouse over emergency 4 or 911 first responders and it should be in there

My editor keeps crashing for some reason when I try to open up v1.9 in mods

It should auto save changes to the vehcihles.


And if you checked the bxo and it doesnt work, then try editing the unit.xml.

also if your using a saved game it wont work, you will have to start a new freeplay game, atleast on my game anyay

1. Open your "fireengine2" unit.xml file which can be located in the directory below:

Los Angeles Mod v1.9 > Units > Vehicle > Fire Department > 120fireengine2 > unit.xml

2. Once you've opened that, find this line:

<unit id="FIRE EXTINGUISHER" />

3. Then add this underneath it:

<unit id="JAWS OF LIFE" />

4. And it's all done! Don't forget to save it before closing it.

Yes. Follow the instructions above.

If you edit it in the editor, and edit the unit.xml it will show up in the equipment list.
