Yes, your right, as I said in one other forum (not needed to say) that we still use that cars in small towns or country, and one bigger city use 3-5 that old cars, but for firefighters Niva's is moust popular on all FD's. And yes, Dosedmonkey say'd right, that them are ex soviet, just like Zil or Gaz fire trucks, and in Latvia was made some cars too like in 1930-40's was Ford Vairogs, fire truck, and in soviet years RAF (Riga Auto Factory(Rīgas Auto Fabrika)) that was used like ambulances most, and milicia cars to. If your seen fillm police academy in russia, I think its 8, then you can se, the drive with RAF Latvia.
