And did you read my post where I said I gotten the game to run on two different laptops?
So how can you say it will not run on laptops.
It possbile he running older drivers or two new with the game.
Joel please post you system specs.
He didn't say it doesn't run on laptops, he sayd that on board graphics are not supported. You know, laptops can have normal graphic cards like normal pc's
Even, his systeem specs and his dxdiag file are already posted above...
Then: Analize of the logfile:
!Graphics system: Microsoft Corporation GDI Generic
|Vendor: Microsoft Corporation
|Renderer: GDI Generic
=> The system runs on standard windows graphic drivers...
EDIT: After research... Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset is NOT a graphic card chipset see:
http://www.intel.com...pm965/index.htmSecond thing I found out is that your laptop is a business laptop and so not really made for gaming: : HP Compaq 6510b
Seeing the information about the graphic accelerator:
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
384 MB Shared memory
By searching Google I found out that your graphic chip is definitively On Board
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100 is an integrated (onboard) graphic chip on a Mobile Intel 965GM chipset (for Merom = Core 2 architecture). It is the successor of GMA 950. Most interesting is the integration of a fully programmable pipeline. Due to the integration of DirectX9 features, HDR and Hardware Transform & Lighning (T&L) - predecessor only had Software T&L - should be ready for Windows Vista Premium (support Aero Glass fully). Respective the data, the peformance should be clearly better than GMA 950.
Specifications
• performance class: 5
• codename: Crestline
• clock: chip: 400 MHz
• memory: main memory shared, max 256 MB
• directX: 9c, Shader Model 3.0
• features: Transform and Lighting Hardware Support, 32 Bit floating point precision, 16xAF, Occlusion Query, Hardware Clipping, DX10?
• application area: small and light-weight notebooks
3DMark03: around 1700 Points
So if there is anyway to update your drivers or change configuration of your drivers, you might be able to run the game. If not you won't be able to run it on the laptop .
EDIT2: The card should be able to play games:
