Seems I have to replace some lightbars for v1.6, but I can't find much detailed photo's of those lightbar. Both have an oval shape and the Arjent is very flat.
But I have found information:
FedSig Vista: Product Literature
FedSig Arjent: Product Literature
Which one should I make on my cars? I like them both.
Hoppah
I currently have the halogen vista lightbar on my personal vehicle for being a volunteer fireman and I love it. It has great lighting power and moves lots of traffic =D. The vista also comes in a LED style which I would love to see. But the Arjent is a sweet lightbar also =P.
On a model I made for EM4 I put the Arjent on the police car and it looks pretty cool.

Very minor suggestion.
Changing the US Army soldiers to the new Camo.
US Military no longer uses the old "Woodland or Tricolor Desert" patterns, been that way for a little while now.
The US Marines use what is called "Marpat"
And the US Army now uses "Acu"
I still can't get used to the new MARPAT and ACU's to be honest. Heck, you can't even polish the new boots! Where's the fun in that???? But he's absolutely correct Hoppah, the California National Guard has switched over as well to the ACU's for all of their units.
Mike, is LAPD running the fancy wheels on all their Crown Vics?
Don't most services have the black police wheels with the small chrome cap in the middle?
I have to agree with LAPDguy in that I wouldn't necessarily call them fancy, but yes, most of the vehicles in service now have them. LASD, CHP, and most other departments in this area run the small chrome cap style that you refer to and honestly, I think it was just another way for LAPD to stand out in an area that is awash in various law enforcement agencies.
Quick question for you - are there directional lights on the Battalion Chief vehicle in real life?
No there aren't. While I usually try to take an informative tone on this board, if you'd all permit me to put my tongue firmly in cheek, my best guess is that when it comes to Chief officers in the fire service, the less directing they do the better!
Here are some shots of LA City BC's and DC's
Battalion 10
Battalion 3
Battalion 17
Hoopah i know its too late to add to 1.5 but for the voice actings for back up LAPD actuly says "officer needs help" but they do add back up and code 3 in some times.
Hoopah i have a whole list of radio signal codes i could give you
I know its a long list but it would have taken a while to edit out some useless things sry. I know some of them you can't use.
Los Angeles PD Radio Signal Codes
{...snipped..}
DIVISION NUMBER
RADIO CODES
Code 2-HIGH Priority Call, No Lights or Siren
That list you posted is a bit outdated unfortunately. It's the old one that's been floating the net for quite a while now, and is originally from Policescanner.com I believe. Missing is the newest division of the LAPD #19 Mission area which has been in service since 2005. Also, the LAPD ceased use of Code 2 High back in 2004. You can read their original press release about it here.
Harry Marnell, a very respected former LAPD Police Service Representative (dispatcher) has posted the current LAPD radio Manual on his web page at this location.
As for the Officer Needs Help being the same as a backup call, the two are very different in fact. To quote from the LAPD radio manual:
Officer Needs Help. This emergency call shall be broadcast when immediate aid is required by an officer. The officer requesting shall include the location, followed, if possible, by the unit identification and all other pertinent information. A specific unit shall be dispatched "Code Three" and other available units in the vicinity shall respond "Code Two." An "Officer Needs Help" call shall not be broadcast when "assistance" only is needed. The Department will provide assistance and respond to "Officer Needs Help" calls within the City when requested by the CHP. The senior officer of the agency requesting emergency assistance shall be in charge of the incident unless the incident involves a situation which is the responsibility of the other agency, in which case the senior officer of the responsible agency will be in charge.
#
Back up Unit Request. This call shall be broadcast when an additional unit is required by an officer. The officer requesting shall include the location, followed by the unit identification and all other pertinent information. Only the specific unit dispatched shall respond. The request shall be canceled when, prior to the arrival of the assigned back up unit, it is determined that an additional unit will not be needed.
Thankfully, an officer needs help call is a rare occurrence and is an emergency call, whereas a backup call is a routine call when officers need additional resources for whatever reason.
For those of you interesting in monitoring the LAPD's radio communications over the internet, I recommend going to Public Safety Feeds and the Scanner Buff Network if you prefer teamspeak.
As you can see from the manual and listening even for a short time to the feeds, almost all of the codes are going by the way side as time progresses. You will still hear the standard Code 6 and Code 3 for the foreseable future, but dispatches are now going out as burglary in progress instead of 211, and disturbance instead of 415.

Have a quick question/problem. In the freeplay map has anyone else had problems with the hospital location? It is at the coroner which doesn't allow you to see the back of the hospital and only half of the helipad. I always end up having a fire behind the hospital and can never see the fire to extinguish it. Would it be possible maby in 1.6 to expand the map just a little to allow full view of the hospital??
Well, i didnt had same problem. You could sent fire plane at the end of map , he will take out fire.

Nice one!
You'll have to forgive me for saying this, but around these parts of the world (rural sweden) the Fire Chiefs could well have directional bars on their vehicles since they're always last on the scene and therefor last in the line of units.
Reason I asked, noticed Hoppah had a lightbar texture on his Chief vehicle with directional lights on it. Although not realistic, I added a row of lights and it works pretty well in the game.
