After a lot of consideration, I've decided to start developing this modification in EM4 with an eventual port to EM5 when the modding capabilities mature in EM5.

Does anyone know of an existing model for a Stryker Power-Pro or MX-Pro stretcher (NOT THE M1)?

I want to know if one exists before I break out the 3D modeling software.

I looked, but didn't find one. However, there is a lot of EMS equipment on here: http://emergency-for...p?page=Database

Most of it is free to use with permissions given.

Anyone have an idea on a service name for the paramedic ambulance company you will be playing as?

The current name I'm thinking of:

Northview Emergency Medical Services Authority - NEMSA

The name has to describe the service, which the above does. The ambulance provider is the medical authority in the EMS system. While some Fire Departments have Paramedics, whenever the ambulance paramedics show up, they are in charge. (Hence my desire to have the word "Authority" in the name although it is not required).

While the company is not "Government-run" it is a contracted "not-for-profit" organization. Also, the company is the exclusive ambulance provider for the county, with the exception of a few larger cities who use their local fire department as their ambulance provider. The county is diverse ranging from urban to suburban to downright rural.

Any other ideas for names or do you guys like that?

WOW!!! That reminds me exactly of Richmond Ambulance Authority here in VA. That's an awesome idea!

Just finished the initial version of the map texture.

The map is a full sized map, which features a lot of residential areas. It is a slightly modified version of a texture found on emergency-forum.de by VPI.

Are we going to be able to use any of the fire units or is this strictly EMS based?

Fire units will be NPC until they arrive at scene. Once they arrive they become player controlled until you transport your patient. Once you transport they become NPC again and return to station or follow you to the hospital depending on whether or not you had a fire fighter jump in the back with you.

On fire scenes and rescue scenes most will be NPC and a few will be available to help treat injured.

OK, makes sense. I just wondered since there is a station on the map.

Work is progressing slowly. I'm a bit busy finishing up my degree among other things. It's sort of a Part-Time project right now.

This is still in progress, albeit early progress. I have more free time now so we will be working full force as real life permits. (I was actually able to sit down with a team member yesterday and get some work done as a matter of fact). Lots of great things planned. A bunch of the things posted earlier in this thread have changed (ie. the map posted above has been scrapped and replaced with another). I'm taking more of a "I'll show you cool stuff when we're close to done" so as to not falsely build up anticipation should the unexpected occur, so I apologize for the relative silence of this thread.
