I'm having some issues. I can get some of the vehicles installed. But some just don't show up at all.

No I'm not asking for an easy install or a full mod released, I would actually like to learn the same way i learn other game scripting and coding. But, I'm new to the game and need some pointing in the right direction.

Can some please point me in the right directs to a tutorial, or quick/brief few steps to get to the folders/files where i should be looking to try and get this working?

[please don't reply with stupid, or condescending remarks. Generally respectful and helpful advise would be greatly appreciated]

There were some useful hints and tips some pages back. Summarized verison would be this:

  • You need to get the pack to work correctly in the editor
  • You need to make unit.xml's for each vehicle
  • You need to edit files in Lang and Specs folder

So I need some feedback from you guys. Which vehicle should be the new USAR Dog Van?

White is LACOFD, Red is LAFD. Both models + skins WIP, no lights yet on either.

Thanks dude, They are working now with that info and a video i found of YouTube. All vehicles look awesome! Thanks

Also, Red van looks better, the white one dont even look good in real life. The red looks cleaner. So i vote red LAFD van.

In my opinion I also vote for the red LAFD van. Either one is good. Also, it should depend what it look like in real life but remember its my OPINION.

I like both, I think more realistic would be the White One but the Red One just looks better.

Outstanding work done itchboy! I too look forward to using any of your vehicles. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance with providing guidance on warning lights or vehicle setups... My full time job is installing Whelen, Federal Signal, Motorola, etc, on emergency vehicles here in CA.. Been in a few fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances before ;-)

Nice vehicles again itchboy! . So I was thinking of when I would use the SAR dog car and remembered I've never had a call out of a person missing. I was wondering how do you make callout occur more often or force a call out. If any one knows how then please tell me.

The version which is available for download does it also include the fire vehicles? Because on the pics above the download link there are some new fire trucks but after I put the files in the LA-mod folder my trucks were still the same. Ambulance and police cruiser changed but not fire.

I can answer it by myself. I read in the readme file that the fire trucks haven't been added to this mod yet.

Something to replace the Brush truck. It will no longer be owned by LAFD but rather LA County FD.

Need info on lightbar. Still needs a skin too.

Cab by Ubisoft, modified into 2 door by me. Rear part by me with spool, boxes, misc equipment and handle bars by THVFD.

Unless you want to light a rotating bar, your probably best to use the same bar as the LACoFD Squad or the LAFD EMS Supervisor.

Oh I so need to skin that !!!

Sent you a PM.

Dang that looks nice!. How do you ever do it it looks easy the way you do it. You must have alot of time to show updates everyday of what your doing

A lot of the on site tutorials help. And my updates aren't actually as frequent as you think. I do most of my work on the weekends and slowly reveal them throughout the week.

Itchboy on fire!

Sorry I didn't finish your KME Engine yet. I realized that I would have more time on my hands if I finished my own stuff first.

Unless you want to light a rotating bar, your probably best to use the same bar as the LACoFD Squad or the LAFD EMS Supervisor.

I'm just after the exact lightbar used by the real vehicle. Doesn't look right IMO with an LED lightbar

And the winner for the SAR Van poll is the LAFD Van. Stay tuned for final pics.
