Do you all think you will be adding the limited water capacity logic to this mod? Seems like it would make the mod really hard but add a much better level of realism, then you can replace that nice looking but useless ladder with a tanker/tender.

I think limited water would be very cool. If thats the case, I'd recommend adding in a few mutual aid companies  (engines/tankers) because then you can simulate a tanker shuttle with the tanker pools and all that fun stuff. I literally just did a tanker shuttle drill last night, and it is very fun.

I've tried taking a water tanker and feeding an engine but with no luck. But that would've been awesome. If you know a way to do it, pm me :)

Yes, correct. But that is a mission script. I do not have enough scripting knowledge to convert it into a freeplay script. (sadly).

I like the idea of a volunteer department having a tanker. Growing up in a rural area I'm used to seeing them in quarters although I rarely see them used around here anymore.

Hoppah has a working freeplay water supply mod. The Manhattan team have it implemented for the next patch, and I've applied it to my personal LA mod. It takes a bit of tweaking and scripting (more so for the new deck gun mechanics), but it's pretty simple (as long as you don't try to be too complicated and mess it up, like I did at first) and adds some new challenges.

I'm aware, it is implemented in Stillwater already, but it doesn't feature water supply between vehicles. Only hydrant to vehicle.

Usually in a rural area you would see a tanker drop a water pool which simulates a hydrant and the tanker keeps filling it up.. So you coudl do that.

Hoppahs working on that, he just wants a tanker model to work with before he releases anything.

Don't forget about pumper to pumper, we do that a lot. Have 2 pumpers sharing water and attacking the fire while a third pumper shuttles water, this is always mutual aid though.

really really sorry for off topic, but I have some question about volunteer firefighter.

Is volunteer firefighter in U.S actually get in action(?? It's hard hard to describe it in English )

I mean, is volunteer firefighter also using jaws of life, take SCBA and go in to burning house?

In my country, South Korea, Volunteer firefighter is usually consist of eldery person of that town, and they almost never using hose, jaws of life, SCBA except for really rural are that firehouse is not exist.

they just take a support role like  redirect traffic or prepare meal for firefighter when really huge fire occured so there takes a long time to extinguish.

really sorry again for off topic..

Yes, volunteers in the US are the main fire fighters for the area they serve. They use all tools and fight fires the same way career fire fighters do and are of all ages.

I was a volunteer fire fighter for my home town.  I was very luck and they let me join in a limited basis (no driving and no entry into burning buildings) at age 16.  When I turned 18, I was allowed to do everything.  I also became an EMT (Back then there was separate levels - I was an EMT-Basic).  I could drive any of our trucks or ambulance, enter buildings, do rescues including Jaws of Life, even run the engine pump panel.

Departments have different restrictions, most would probably not allow full duties unless you are at least 18.

Just saying they still have different levels of emt... theres 3 levels in most states if im not mistaken... 1st is EMT Basic, 2nd depends where you live(some call it specialist, which michigan does, emt advanced or emt intermediate) then of course 3rd is emt paramedic
