I have chosen a newer motorcycle model file (BMW RT1200) which I opened in notepad to see what the code looks like. It seems to include two key lines to me. One which references the skin to the motorcycle and the second line references the actual rider. My understanding is that in order to swap out the original LA Mod motorcycle model file with the newer one BMW 1200, is to ensure that the references within the file point to the new skins and that the file name is the same as the original one.
Is there something else to consider?
The goal is to simply exchange the older the police Harley with the newer BMW 1200 motorcycle. I also am aware of the animation factor with this file.
This has been my method which seems to work fine - until it came time to do the motorcycle.
A little more specific on editing motorcycle model file...
