The DEA had been doing surveillance on a suspicious van on the upper east side of Manhattan NY. The agents went to begin a search of the van when on of the suspects opened fire with an automatic pistol, both officers were seriously injured but had already called for assistance before checking the van.
After PD had arrived to oversee what seemed to be a search of the vehicle, they found the two officers, the fugitives then opened fire on the two PD officers.
A stand off followed and eventually the NYPD's ESU team lead a tactical assault on the 2 armed fugitives, they were both brought into custody after a brief shootout in which 2 ESU officers received minor gun shot wounds. A quarter of million dollars worth of Cocaine was seized after the shootout.
Both men have been charged with possesion with intent and resisting arrest. One of the pair was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder on 4 counts. Both men are awaiting trial, both DEA agents are in critical condition and an ESU officer and PD officer received minor injuries.

The first pump arrives and gets 2 45mm jets to work and get set into a hydrant. The officer incharge sends a "make pumps 5, turntable ladder required" message as the fire is spreading rapidly.

2nd pump arrives and immediatley gets another jet to work and crews rig in B.A to prepare to enter the middle barn to prevent fire spread.

With 5 pumps and TL now on scene good progress is being made. 6 main jets and 4 BA are in use at this stage. The TL is being prepared for use. Due to poor water supplies in the area crews set into a nearby lake.

TL monitor in use.
Good progress is made, and the fire is eventually surrounded and damping down and turning over can commence.
