For the first time, with the help of some volunteers, an Ohio modification emerges. Ravenna is a small town with a population of 11,724. Ravenna has great schooling within its county along with a vocational school. This town has come a long way from what it used to be with the older buildings that are the reminders of what this town used to look like. Everyday Ravenna is developing bigger and changing its ways. But crime and mischief has yet to cease.

 

More on the submod: This submod will contain two fire stations. One city fire and the second township fire. The city contains two pumpers, rescue, aerial truck, ALS ambulance, one rescue crane, one fire command SUV, one small utility truck, and one volunteer jeep along with Ravenna dive rescue. The township station, stations one pumper, one reserve, and one ALS ambulance. We do have private ambulance companies(NEAS & MedCorp) that can be called into action. The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ravenna Police, and the sheriffs department are the three police stations located in various locations on the map. The OSHP has five parked cars, one suburban, one excursion, and one tactical truck. The sheriffs office has three patrol cars, one K-9 unit and one bomb squad; with a transport bus and van that can be called from off the map. Different agencies like DHS and additional fire, medical, and police units will be released but detached from the main submod to keep the file size to its minimum. To find out what is going to be released in this submod, look below for what is being or has been worked on/being used in game. they look fine to me, i do have some ?'s are you going to do any more fire units ie the als and bls engs and the ladder trucks, usar ext and are you going to do any more law enforcement units and the ems units. the last ? is what are your doing with the personal skins

As of right now, I'm not releasing any skins because I do not have owners permissions to distribute from their original skin. Unless otherwise, I will release the skins. I will be doing many more police units. I'm currently working on the Ravenna city police, chief car, bomb squad, swat, and finishing up the sheriffs heli. Along with a transport bus for the sheriffs department. For ems, I'm currently finishing up 'ambulance04' as metro lifeflight. And the other ambulances will be reskined into Ravenna township fire. All ems will be redone. Same for fire. My only problem is, trying to reskin the engines and the other ambulances. I cannot get the png images opened. I've followed all the steps from many different ways of 'unlocking' the files. Well I have the V3O file, but it is not readable by paint.net or gimp. Otherwise I do plan on reskining and redoing all the lights.

Remember, the V3O is the model file, the .dds is the image. If the file is "fake.dds", you can try to convert it using a dds converter. If it says conversion failed, rename it to "fake.v3o" (remember if it has the same name as the original v3o you may want to use a different name), open the editor, unpack said file and then close the editor. Go back to the file, rename to "fake.dds" and then throw it through a converter and it should come out as a .png or .jpg whichever you're trying to conver to.

Thank you! Ive tried the conversion before with a DDS converter and it did fail. When you say rename 'fake.dds' to 'fake.V30'. Do you mean change the name of the flie or change the name of the extension? I saw someone said you need to change the name of the extension, but I can't. Im using Vista, so if theres a way, I dont know it yet. But thank you for helping me! I really want to reskin the rest of the vehicles, I have some great ideas in mind for them!

You need to change the name of the extension.

When the folder is open, click "organize" in the top left corner, then click "folder and search options". When the options menu appears, click "view" from the options at the top, and in the advanced settings box, make sure the "hide extensions for known file types" box is unchecked.

Now when you rename a file, you should be able to change the file type as well, you should get a warning pop up saying the file might become unstable.

I hope this makes sense, I think this is the right way to do it on Vista (i'm using windows 7 so i'm not 100% sure).

hey one issue i live in ohio myself and i noticed that your osp lights on the lightbar are red and blue in real life those new led lightbars are all blue

I noticed that some troopers now have just red or just blue. I live right next a Highway Patrol post and we use red and blue up here.

Sorry, I have not seen your post until now. lol. What do you mean? Theres no trucks I need. Im accepting any models anyone wants to give me to use in my mod as long as they give me permission to release them with or without a new skin.
