You should be able to buy Aspirin at any age, but if you're under 18 you shouldn't be taking it, that's what Google told me. Maybe if you're on your own they need to check that... o.O?

Yeah, i was reading through this paramedic app ive got on my iphone, and it says to only give to persons 16+ and always ask if theyre able to take it incase theyve got a weak stomach (can lead to gastrointestinal bleeding) and/or an allergy of it.

Anyway, our First Aid Post treated about 100 casualties, absolutely manic, lots of drug use and overdosing - silly people. Overall, really enjoyed it, if anyone from anywhere in the country wants to help (St John wise) I think you can sign up

Did the Olympic Flame as it passed though Winslow and have a large Paralympic duty at Stoke Mandeville on 28th August. As for actually going into London - Operational Support only wants ETA and above from our area. And you?

Yeah, and also the % of oxygen in their blood (Below 95% is bad)

It measures their pulse (top number: PRbpm - Pulse Rate beats per minute) and SpO2 (bottom number: Saturation of Peripheral Oxygen), which is the saturation of Oxygen within the patient's blood. If its getting lower than 95% you need to be putting them on O2. You can play with them though. BARC - if you take your reading and its 97%, breathe deeply and quickly, try and make it reach 99%, it does work - just try not to pass out
£19.99 is very cheap, I hope it works, an ambulance quality one is £50+ Also, we've been told we have to use St John ones in Bucks so they're properly configured or something like that - a bit silly really.

Yeah it works, tried it on someone who had COPD and has a prescribed one (or something like that) and it gave the same result. And i think £50 is still cheap, the ones ive seen is like £100+

Just ordered a Argus Large Trauma Bag from SP Services (Like the one in the first post of this topic. but in green) along with some other bits and bobs. Ill post some pictures when it arrives.

And i was at camp last week, dealt with a few falls, blisters, sprained ankles, burnt hands, but thankfully nothing much

Nice kit if you use it Meant to ask, how often do you guys go out with your own kit? I've been on duty with mine three times, never needed it. All the other times I take out a divisional kit so I can carry O2 and AED along with enough PRF's, Normasol, Gloves etc. that are appropriate for the duty
