Our e-mails have been raped by the system too, at the exact moment we ordered a brand new laptop for the division and they've kind of screwed it, more money wasted -.-
Nicely done on the Cadets. With our division, I was the first new member to join in months, there were two divisions meeting and attendance was about 12 people a week. Since I came, in the last two years, we now have 60+ members on the books, regularly get 30 or more to a meeting and we've merged the two divisions together into one, something that doesn't happen very successfully and we're now one of the largest St John divisions in the area if not the country. Is it the advertising thats working...? o.O

Very rare of a merge to go well We're unable to merge with any other unit, As we're too far away from anyone Like our small group anyways, going to have an argument with supplies tomorrow, regarding their out of date websites, Forms, resources and guidelines.

Also, they should have sold that Badge to me, As it's "St John Ambulance member *OR* county /division account holders.

just inherited the Badger unit too.... more paperwork.. yay

I know, units tend to split and then fall off the Radar rather than merging and merging well.

Awesome, shame it looks dodgy in a U.S. setting but I like the vehicle. Our division has just taken delivery of a brand new Nissan Pathfinder, I'm well excited

It came in a few weeks ago with 1.7 miles on the clock. Plain white, no registration. Its just gone to the outfitters to get the stretcher carrier, O2, blues and twos etc. Shame I'm back down at LINKs but I'll see it when I go back. Its good, 'cos the only other 4x4 in the area is 'Triple 7' which is an ancient, but beautiful, Land Rover Ambulance Conversion.

SJA Supplies are annoying me yet again, They want you to buy rank slides at £66 per pair. Making my own damn slides... Got 1 pair of Silvers, 1 pair of the New rubber ones,

By this time next year, There won't be Rank within St John Ambulance. Only Roles.

The reasoning behind it is due to it being old fashioned and not needed. Apparently.

And ik about the slides, It's just a pain in the arse to get some made up from scratch, So was just playing about with different designs. I've seen some in the past with the Welsh Dragon on it

Well, they keep changing that. Talking to my Divisional Superintendent, they might be getting rid of NCO Ranks (so no Corporals or Sergeants) but keeping Officer's Grade 1 and above. Even then, that's only a maybe. It is needed, we are the oldest military organisation in the United Kingdom, swearing fealty to the Knight's of St John, the day we get rid of ranks will be very sorry indeed.

Its like I wear a third badge on my sleeves, I have a Buckinghamshire Swan underneath my 'Advanced First Aider' tag, its just regional variations.
