I was at the local fair today and picked up some pictures of the Randolph fire department ambulance. So instead of posting a ton of pics, I made a collage of all of them.

In my immediate area I dispatch for them, and they all know me. Elsewhere, if it's something where I have a chance to walk up to the officer, and ask permission I will. A little respect will go a long way with most law enforcement, and other first responders.

Dont quote me on this, but I think one of them means they are the commanding unit on scene(green?)

I suspected they might be communication lights and I have also heard of green being used to designate the IC.

Can safely say London saw the biggest policing operation ever, since the Olympics and the Riots. Situation: English Defence League wanting to march into Tower Hamlets and the UAF/TUC/Anarchists counter protests. Forces from all over the country came in including Essex, Hertfordshire, Hampshire, Thames Valley, Kent, Surrey, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire & West Midlands.
Norfolk & Cambridgeshire police vans parked near Tower Gateway
Leicestershire Police van on Whitechapel Road
10 police bikers going past Tower Gateway
Brand new Dog Unit
Dog Section Support van
Unmarked Volvo V50 being used by senior officers from the TSG
Unmarked Range Rover also being used by senior officers from the TSG
Road Policing Units on standby
And the highlight of the day was seeing these...
"Kestrel Support" convoy which had 10 of these Jankels and a TSG Mercedes going through Bishopsgate heading to its standby point. Believe they were on standby the whole day in case shit really hit the fan but thankfully it didn't. Think its the first time they've been out since the 2011 Riots. Caused a lot of WTF with other motorists and pedestrians.
Still have many more to upload to my flickr page might post them here as well.
