I like those Norwegian ambulances, they are similar to the ones used by one ambulance service in Copenhagen.

And you spell ambulance the way it's pronounced in Danish.

'National Day of the Belgian Federal Police'

Idle position
Posted Image

Deployed situation
Posted Image
Watergun from the Federal Reserve in Belgium. Used at 'explosive situations' like manifestations, soccer games, etc
Only two years old, equipped with PA-system and lights to blind riotters. Furthermore, the doors are electronically locked and the stairs from the street to the doors are closed.
So it's impossible to get into the cabin.

Posted Image
Not the nicest car in the topic, but a special one. It's an ambulance, owned by the Belgian Police.

Posted Image
Posted Image
Belgian Police Helicopter. Very special about this vehicle is the lack of a tail rotor. This is built internally, because of the presence of sensitive equipment at the tail.

Posted Image
Posted Image
(Dog show in progress, so couldn't get the car in close-up)
A riot-vehicle. Used to transport officers in dangerous situations, but also to clear barricades built up with 'light' objects. Light is relative: he doesn't have any problems with pushing cars out of the way.

Intervention 'Loss of load by a truck'

On this first picture, you see a small intervention van used by the Fire Department of Mechelen. It's equipped with the standard tools, like roadsand to clean oil, shovels, ....

Posted Image
And to end, a small police intervention car. Used for standard police work, this type can be seen in the whole of Belgium.

That watergun vehicle is cool - reminds me of the Terminator :P
And the police ambulance is absolutly ugly.
But good pics :)

Been a bad boy? :loldev:

Nope, vicious dogs were on the loose in the village and attacked our dog.

Fun fact number one: Don't ever require an ambulance when in the Netherlands, they're all on French motorways instead :P
But seriously, i have no idea why the ambulance was there. We followed in all the way to south/central France. :nixweiss:

Posted Image
Fun fact number two: If you ever break down on the motorways in France, the police have to confirm it's ok to come and rescue you. This is the reason why we only moved 9KM in 2 hours

Posted Image
This is suppose to be French Customs. They were checking gas stations. I was trying to get a picture if they overtook us, but they kept pulling off. But they still managed to catch up with us, so they must've been driving faster than the 130KM speed limit
