Chicago is a possibility for a GTA based game... we'll see though I'm guessing they'll rehash miami again.

True dat. I completely forgot about that one.

But so far, as I mentioned in my first post, all signs (especially the leaked casting call) point to Los Angeles. That would also be easier for Rockstar as they could recycle photos, documentation, textures and even models from L.A. Noire and Midnight Club Los Angeles.

Yes, I thought about Chicago, 70s or 80s, a loser musician drowned in debts is pursued by the Mafia, and other people to who owes money. It would be great, I´d love to see chicago, it´s a good place for a GTA.

They will stay american most likely the only option outside of america ever attempted was london, from my understanding that "adaptation" of GTA1 wasnt very popular so I doubt they'll attempt it again considering that a new london based game would cost significantly more than what they did for the GTA london adaptation from GTA1.....

I'm expecting Miami again for the next one or alternatively they might pick a new locale like chicago to do, problem is chicago would look and feel much the same to the NYC they already have done for their GTA4 game.... Just have diff chars and a few notable diffs in the city layout, so I'm betting if they did another it'd be Miami up next.

They could do the LA one again since it was immensely popular but I'm figuring miami will be up next since they tend to increase things in the series slowly, not just a total rework... Increasing what the game does will probrably come from miami, then the LA version... Remember we have no clue how much time/energy they put into developing the games... they can do the voice acting well in advance for a storyline they may or may not produce... GTA is notorious for hiring a-listers to do their voice acting... They are harder to land and even harder to keep to a strict deadline.

I played GTA London 1969 and the map was more or less a copy of the GTA 1 map, but the cars, names and houses looked like something you would find in London in 1969. But essentially, the game was a reskin and you needed to put the GTA 1 disc in your Playstation before loading your London disc.

i would LOVE to see the san andreas file brought back out. and this time lets have an entire fire dept instead of 1 ran by one unit! (im talking about u gta 4!!) more really indepth emergency services would be F*****G amazing!

or just be able to pick the city you want. you could choose liberty, vice city, or san andreas.

There are some guys doing the GTA SA with the GTA 4 engine, is called AndReAGE and their progress looks great.

I heard that Vice City Rage is only for Episodes from Liberty City, not for the simple GTA 4 so until GTA 5 comes out, there will be San Andreas with GTA 4 engine, can´t wait to play it

I say it'll be for Los Angeles reasons being:
A) They have a s*** load of games already placed in LA, so getting map ideas and building ideas will be a breeze
B) Miami already has 2 GTA games out about it, Los Angeles only has one, and most people get tired of the same map in basic, were as LA's map would be almost COMPLETELY different than GTA SA's map given the fact all of it was the same compared size of GTA IV's Dukes/Broker Island, maybe even Bohan
C)All of what Voodoo put in his first post comes into account to, so...

I´ve read that GameStop.de has anounced that GTA 5 will be released on January 15 of 2012, with a price of 69´99, but are only rumors because is strange that they release it after Christmas and cause there isn´t any picture nor fact of the game.

gamestop puts out random release dates for future games that haven't been announced for a release date, such as Saints Row: the Third, on GS.com it says its going to be released on 12/31/11. Volition says it will comeout holiday season 2011, which is the last 3 months to them.

GTAIV was a two state game, you played in New Jersey and in New Yoirk. Orlando, Chicago, Detroit, Denver etc

Yes, I've heard it before, they said that will be announced in late summer and will be release in January 15. They've also said that it will be a accuracy copy of Los Angeles.
