Hello, anyone knows when gta 5 will be released?

and of couser where it will be??

GTA 5 hasn't been officially announced yet.
I believe they'll announce it soon though. It's been like 3 years since GTA 4. If they announce it soon, it would mean they'd release their game around August 2012. That's my guess

There are some clues appearing here and there:

-About a month ago, a casting call was launched by Rockstar Games. The list of characters was a bit eclectic but may be that of the next GTA. The characters' personas indicate that the story would likely take place in modern-day Los Santos a.k.a. Los Angeles.

-About a year ago, some people from Rockstar games were apparently seen taking pictures in and around Hollywood - although that could very well have been done for L.A. Noire.

-In a recent tweet, a journalist hinted at a "successful financial year" for Rockstar Games in 2012 "with the release of GTA5".

The problem is every single person have his own idea...
I already soo a post in a forum that says that there will be no more GTA!
I love to see a GTA in portugal streets, particulary Lisbon it will be great, here wee have all the tipe of crimes.
But its not a very dangerous city.
Ahoters good citys is Estoril and cascais in portugal too.

I think it will most likely be Vice City, since Rockstar North have been following a pattern. However, Los Santos was a really popular city.

I read in another site that they said something about the posible characters in the next GTA, something about a FBI agent that participates in TV shows and something more about the characters, all related with the casting of people to do the voices in the game. But internet usually fools.
For my part, I´d like to see a GTA in Washington: a CIA agent that is betrayed and has to survive

And I´d like to see like many police cars and more ambulances and firetrucks to mod it!

I think they will do well if they do Los Santos because that area, they managed to work in three cities, and allow a lot of area. I personally liked all the flights you could make, whereas in GTA IV you're kinda limited to ground and helo transportation

Los Santos was only one of the three major cities (plus small towns and countryside/desert areas) in the fictional state of San Andreas. I doubt they will do another "state" like that anytime soon. For now I believe they'll focus on single cities, albeit very detailed and close to their real-life counterparts. The cities in San Andreas were a bit small and unpolished for my taste - they had to sacrifice those to have a huge area where you could fly planes and such.

Personally, I'm a bit disappointed that they chose to stick with a modern day setting. I preferred when they took us back to other significant decades in American culture - like they did with Miami in the mid-80s with Vice City or California in the early 90s with San Andreas.

What I would have loved? Las Venturas (Vegas) in the late 70s-early 80s, in a city reminescent of Martin Scorcese's movie Casino, where casinos were mob-ruled gambling establishments instead of gaudy corporate-owned resorts like present-day Vegas.

I liked how they made GTA Vice City full of plot elements that were huge back in the 80's in Miami, including the miami vice car

I don´t think that they will do three city, GTA 4 has two city and not very larges, and it takes on the disk about 20g.
So doing three city of a huge size would take twice of space in disk.

The thing is, they have to pick a "landmark" city, one that has many recognizable features and that is culturally relevant (i.e. well-known, seen a lot in movies, etc). I think GTA is and has always been a caricature of American society, and as such, I don't think they will ever venture outside of the US. They've already covered New York (Liberty City), Miami (Vice City), Los Angeles (Los Santos), Las Vegas (Las Venturas) and San Francisco (San Fierro), albeit that except for GTA4, all of them were covered with the old-generation engine (You can say what you want about "standard places", you've gotta admit that you'd enjoy seeing them again in their Rage engine rendition, bigger and with a lot more details and things to see).

As for new locations, I think the only possible and major "new" location left would be Washington D.C. (lots of landmarks and storyline possibilities, as well as the potential thrill of bringing back secondary and tertiary characters from past episodes, many of whom were linked to the political or intelligence domains).

Less likely locations would be Boston (think Irish and New England culture, and possible ties with the McReary family from GTA4) and Dallas (to take a general jab at Texas/southern culture, perhaps with a twist about oil companies).

Apart from that, I doubt they'll ever make a GTA taking place in a fictional version of Minneapolis-St.Paul.

I was thinking DC too, that could go really well, at least I could see it going really well. Personally, I'd like to see a better GTA San Andreas on their new engine, new story line, but this time not from Grove Street OGs... Thing I didn't like about that game was you kinda already started high up in a gang, and I think they could take a new spin in a different location, even kill Carl ?

They are doing two version of Vice City with the GTA 4 engine, I hope play it someday, to be possible soon.

I would like to see more tipes of fire ems and police vheicles and uniforms.
I thiks that rock star should make a game based on a police officer live...

I love American vheicles and citys, and i think that the GTA should be in USA.

Yeah, Vice Rage is not official, some guys are doing it like a mod, there is another proyect to do a Vice City with GTA 4 engine that I think that is called Vice City IV or something similar.
And Rockstar has made a game about the LA police, LA Noire.

Chicago is a possibility for a GTA based game... we'll see though I'm guessing they'll rehash miami again.

I know the chinese market is growingm, but i hope they dont make it in Shanghai or Beijing.
