I dont say woodland in the desert, I say the type of uniform and the equipament, I think these are ACU uniforms and I don´t like the color, there are desert BDU with a diferent types of brown color. Now US Army uses ACU, but I prefer BDU and I like the woodland camo (First I think that the mod will be about the National Guard so I said woodland camo)

The national guard used ACUs as well. The BDU has been completely phased out and is no longer an authorized uniform IAW AR 670-1. The BDU is still authorized for the air force to personnel who haven't been issued ABUs. Because both the BDU and ABU are made of heavier material though, air force personnel on FOBs in Iraq frequently wear the ACU as well. Honestly its not a bad uniform. Soldiers walking around like turtles with 60lbs of gear aren't going to be able to hide anywhere period. The idea of the camo in this case is to break up your silhouette, not so much disguise you. The ACU pattern is pretty good at this, especially in urban areas (which is where its needed the most).

On Army instillations the firefighters are usually civilians. Even in Iraq on FOBs large enough to have a fire service, they're usually contracted civilian firemen from the US. The only military firemen I've seen were with the Air Force.

These guys in Iraq work exclusively on the camp. Anything outside the walls is the problem of the Iraqi authorities who will usually just let it burn =P

Actually im Getting ready to enlist in the reserves as an Army Fire fighter. I was informed that I most likely i would get deployed. But yes I will agree that most bases are Civil Contract now

I don't think active duty is even recruiting 12Ms right now. I can understand reserve and guard doing so, but active is almost all contracted in the states now as well as every FOB I've seen. There was an article a little while ago about how even the USAF firefighters in BIAP were handing over stuff to the Iraqis.

Haha, yeah. Only reason I enlisted was because NY departments waive a college degree for active military service.
Also I'm getting a lot of sweet accident reconstruction certifications out of this XP

Nice pictures, has there been any progress on this mod? I might be able to do some models for you if you would like help.

reece.c , i think Dyson is concentrating on his NY submod (which will be out soon as tested i hear?) what is okay , so if you could do some basic reskins of some models in LA mod that would be great :hallo:

Perhaps try to learn to reskin yourself? If you're doing mostly reskins you should be able to figure them out fairly easilly on your own, new models and new skins from scratch are more difficult. Reskinning is usually where most people start out.

thanks
:grinsevil:

i fail miserably at learning , so i think im going to close the mod and think of making a mod mainly of reskins then it would be easier to get someone to do that subject :sorrysign:

May i propose you could sell it of as a submod as with a mod an buch of soldiers running around LA or whatever would be rather strange and the general idea would be great but maybe not a general maybe a Captain or Liutenant?

Well, first of all this mod didn't go ahead. There are soldiers in LA mod and I think there was a mod to add army General, look at LA mod thread sections.
